- Push in the cooktop knob to ignite the burner.
- Keep pushing the knob and turn it left to the first MAX position until the burner is lit.
- Once lit, keep the knob pressed in for a few seconds. If the burner goes out, wait a few moments and try again.
- Once the burner has a steady flame, turn the burner knob to adjust the flame size.
Using the Inner and Outer Rings
When the burner is lit, it will be on the highest setting.
- To lower the outer ring setting, turn the knob to the left. To turn off the outer ring, continue turning the knob to the left.

Avoid spraying excess water or cleaners on the control and display area, as moisture can cause damage. Do not use paper towels or scouring pads, as they can damage the finish.
FAQs
Why does my range make noises when I'm cooking?
Temperature changes during preheat and cool-down cause parts of the range to expand and contract. Controls click to ensure even cooking temperatures. Fans circulate air for heating or cooling, even when the oven is off. These sounds are normal.
Why does my oven smoke when I use the broil setting?
Broiling is direct heat cooking and produces some smoke. If smoke is excessive, place food further from the element. Broil with the oven door closed and monitor food to prevent burning.
This oven doesn't work like my old one. What's wrong?
