Introduction
The Jensen CDR7011 is a DVD Multimedia Receiver featuring a 7" Touch Screen Display and Bluetooth® connectivity. This manual covers its installation and operation.

Safety Information & Warnings
WARNING:
- The driver must not operate this unit by watching videos or playing video games while driving. This can lead to driver distraction, resulting in serious injury or death, or property damage.
- In-dash video functions operate only when the vehicle is in 'Park' and the parking brake is engaged.
- It is illegal in most jurisdictions for the driver to view video while the vehicle is in motion.
- If your jurisdiction prohibits monitors visible from the driver's seat, this unit must be positioned to face the front passenger seat only.
- The parking brake lock-out feature must be correctly connected to the parking brake mechanism to function. Do NOT simply ground the parking brake detect wire.
- Do not attempt to bypass or neutralize the parking brake lock-out feature.
- Keep the unit's volume low enough to hear traffic-related sounds.
General Safety Notes:
- Installation is recommended by a professional installer or authorized dealer.
- Use only in vehicles with 12VDC negative ground.
- Ensure the unit is securely grounded to the vehicle chassis.
- Do not remove covers or expose to direct sunlight, excessive heat, or water.
- Use only the correct fuse rating (10A). Disconnect wiring harness before replacing fuses.
- Clean the screen with a dry, soft cloth; avoid solvents.
- Liquid crystal may darken in cold temperatures; normal brightness returns with use.
- Use automotive-grade cables (0.75mm² / AWG 18 or more) for extensions to prevent voltage drops.
- Avoid contact with liquid crystal fluid if the screen is damaged.
Preparation & Installation
Please read the entire manual before installation.
Before You Start
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Consult a qualified technician if unsure.
- Avoid installing the unit where it may be exposed to high temperatures, dust, dirt, or excessive vibration.
Getting Started
- Remove the trim ring from the unit.
- Remove the two transit screws located on top of the unit.
- Insert the supplied keys into the slots and slide the unit out of the mounting sleeve.
- Install the mounting sleeve into the dashboard opening, bending tabs to secure.
- Connect the wiring harness and antenna. Consult a qualified technician if unsure.
- Certain vehicles may require an installation kit and/or wiring harness adapter (sold separately).
- Test for correct operation and secure the unit back into the dashboard.
- Snap the trim ring into place if needed.

The unit features a 20-pin connector and other connections for various functions.

Fuse: The unit uses one 10A blade-type fuse located on the back.
Wiring Notes: The subwoofer preamp output is active in all audio modes. The rear camera input can be used with a compatible camera.
Control Locations
The front panel and touchscreen have various controls:
Front Panel Controls:
- Source/Power: Selects input source or turns the unit on/off.
- Mode/Voice Activation: Changes modes or activates voice assistant (press and hold).
- Volume Up/Down, Mute: Adjusts volume or silences audio.
- Tune/Track Up, Call End: Advances tracks or ends calls.
- Tune/Track Down, Call: Reverses tracks or initiates calls.
- Disc Slot: For inserting CDs/DVDs.
- Auxiliary Input: 3.5mm jack for external audio devices.
- USB Slot: For connecting USB devices.
- Reset Button: Resets the unit.
- Panel Open: Opens the display panel.
- Eject: Ejects discs.

General Operation
Power
- Press any button (except Eject) to turn the unit on.
- Press and hold the power button to turn the unit off.
Source Selection
Press the 'SRC' button or the Source icon on the touchscreen to access input modes: Radio, Disc, USB, Bluetooth Phone, Bluetooth Audio, AUX, Camera, and Settings. Disc or USB devices must be connected/inserted to appear in the selection.
Volume & Mute
- Rotate the volume knob to increase or decrease volume.
- Momentarily press the volume knob to mute audio; press again to unmute. Rotating the volume knob also unmutes.
Auxiliary Input
Connect external audio devices to the 3.5mm auxiliary input on the front panel. Select 'Auxiliary Input' from the Main Menu to listen.
USB Port
Connect a USB device to play MP3 files or view AVI, MP4 video files, or JPG photos.
Main Menu
From any operational mode, press the top-left arrow icon to access the Main Menu. Use the left/right arrows to navigate between screens and touch icons to access modes like Radio, Media Player, Bluetooth Phone, Disc, USB, Bluetooth Audio, Auxiliary Input, Rear Camera, and Settings.
Setup Menu
Access the Setup menu from the Main Menu by selecting 'Settings'. Categories include General, Clock, Audio, Bluetooth, Display, and About. Use the touchscreen to adjust options.
Audio Settings
Within the Audio settings, you can adjust:
- Volume: Main system volume.
- EQ Settings: Adjust equalization curves for frequencies (62Hz, 150Hz, 400Hz, 1KHz, 3KHz, 7KHz, 12KHz, 16KHz) with a range of +/- 16dB.
- EQ On/Off: Enable or disable equalization.
- Loudness On/Off: Adjust bass boost.
- EQ Reset: Resets EQ settings.
- Return to Source: Go back to the previous source.
- EQ Presets / Custom: Select preset EQs or create custom ones.
- Balance / Fader: Adjust audio balance left-to-right and front-to-back (+6dB to -6dB).
- Subwoofer On/Off: Control subwoofer output.
Radio Operation
Select the 'Tuner' icon from the Main Menu.
Tuning & Presets
- Tuner Presets: Store up to 18 FM and 12 AM stations. Press and hold a preset button to store the current station. Press a preset button to play it instantly.
- AM/FM Bands: Switch between AM and FM bands.
- Stereo/Mono: Select Stereo or Mono operation.
- Tune Down/Up: Seek the next strong station or tune manually by pressing and holding.
- AS/PS (Auto Scan/Preset Scan): Automatically stores the six strongest stations in the current band or scans through presets.
- Direct Tuning: Enter a station number directly.
Station Information
- Station Number: Displays the current station number.
- Station Search: Search for a specific station.
Audio Settings
Access Audio Settings to adjust EQ, Fader/Balance, Loudness, and SRC Level.
Band Selection
Switch between 2 AM and 3 FM bands.
Media Player Operation
The Media Player supports USB and Bluetooth Music playback.
USB Playback
Connect a USB device to the USB port. The unit can play MP3 files and display JPG photos.
Bluetooth Music
Pair your Bluetooth-enabled device to stream music wirelessly.
Playback Controls
- Play/Pause: Start or pause playback.
- Track Up/Down: Skip to the next or previous track.
- Repeat: Cycle through repeat modes (single track, all tracks, off).
- Random: Enable or disable random playback.
- File List: View all files on the connected device.
- Direct File Entry: Enter a specific file number.
Media Compatibility
CD/DVD Compatibility:
- Compatible: CD-DA, CD-ROM (ISO), CD-R, CD-RW, DVD Video, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW.
- Not Compatible: WMA (DRM, lossless), discs with Track At Once or packet writing, MP3 PRO, MP3 playlists, RMP, WAV, WMV, AAC (protected, M4A).
- Recording Formats: ISO9660 standards are supported, with a maximum nested folder depth of 8. Valid characters for names are A-Z, 0-9, and underscore.
- Recommended Settings for MP3: 128kbps or higher constant bit rate, 44.1kHz or higher sampling frequency.
USB Compatibility:
- File System: FAT, FAT12, FAT16/FAT32.
- File Extension: .mp3, .MP3, .Mp3, .mP3, .rmp, .m4a.
- MPEG Format: MPEG 1, MPEG 2, MPEG 2.5.
- Sampling Frequency: 32/44.1/48kHz, 12/16/22.05/24kHz, 8/11.025/12kHz.
- Bitrate: 32-320kbps (MP3), 8-160kbps (MPEG 2/2.5).
- Other Information: Unlimited directory depth, 32-byte file name length, 2000 files/200 folders limit. Supports MP3 ID3 TAG ver.1.x and ver.2.x (Title, Artist, Album).
Notes: JPG image viewing is only available when the vehicle is in Park with the parking brake engaged. Some USB drives may be incompatible.
DVD Operation
Insert a CD/DVD into the disc slot for playback.
Playback Controls
- Disc Menu: Access the disc's menu.
- Audio Settings: Adjust audio settings.
- Previous Chapter: Go to the previous chapter.
- Play/Pause: Start or pause playback.
- Next Chapter: Advance to the next chapter.
- Next Page: Display additional options.
- Direct Entry: Enter a chapter number directly.
- Repeat: Repeat the current chapter.
- Random: Enable or disable random playback.
Bluetooth Operation
Pairing & Connecting
- Pair your mobile phone to the CDR7011. Device Name: "JENSEN CDR7011". Passcode: "0000".
- Ensure the mobile phone battery is fully charged before pairing.
- Keep the mobile phone within 10 feet (3 meters) of the unit for best performance.
- Avoid metal objects or obstacles between the phone and unit.
- Do NOT use the phone's 'Power Saving Mode'.
- Ensure the phone's Bluetooth function is turned on before accepting or making calls.
Phone Functions
- Dialing a Number: Use the on-screen keypad or the phone's keypad.
- Making a Call: Dial the number and press the call button.
- Phone Book: Access contacts and call history.
- Transferring Audio: Switch call audio between the head unit and the mobile phone.
- Call Controls: Hang Up, Call Transfer, MIC Mute.
Voice Assistant
Use the voice activation button to access Siri® or Google Assistant™ via your paired smartphone.
Auxiliary Input & Rear Camera
Front 3.5mm Aux Input
Connect an external audio source to the 3.5mm front panel input. Select 'Auxiliary Input' from the Main Menu to listen.
Rear Camera Operation (Optional)
- Connect an optional rear camera to the Camera Input (Black RCA connector).
- Manual Selection: Touch the 'CAMERA' icon from the Main Menu or any operational mode. Touch the top-left area to exit camera mode.
- Auto Selection: The unit automatically selects camera mode when connected to the vehicle's reverse lamp circuitry.
Note: Manual mode is for dedicated cameras; it is not meant for cameras connected to reverse lights. External video output is not active when using the rear camera input.
SWC Input Operation
The built-in SWC Interface is compatible with PAC steering wheel control modules (e.g., PAC SWI-RC). A third-party adapter may be required for compatibility with certain steering wheel controls.

Note: Not all OE steering wheel functions may be supported.
PAC SWI-RC Installation Hints: Set the SWI-RC switch to position 7 ('Pioneer/Other/Sony') and follow specific programming instructions.
Troubleshooting
