Introduction
This document serves as a critical addendum to the primary MantelMount Installation Manual. It provides updated and specific instructions for installing the RB100 Recess Box Kit. Users must consult both this addendum and the main installation manual to ensure a correct and safe setup.
Scope of Addendum
This addendum replaces specific sections of the main installation guide:
- Step 1.5
- All of Step Two (Determine Wall Placement)
- Step Three (Attach Mount to Wall)
All other steps from the original installation manual remain applicable unless superseded by information herein.
Compatibility
The RB100 Recess Box Kit is designed for use with the following MantelMount models:
- MM340
- MM540
- MM700
- MM710
- MM720
Important Note: The MM340 and MM540 models require the additional purchase and installation of the SSB40 Adapter Plate, available at mantelmount.com.
Key Installation Considerations & Safety
Before proceeding, users should:
- Read Thoroughly: Review both this addendum and the main installation manual before unpacking any components.
- Verify Parts: Ensure all parts are included and undamaged. Contact MantelMount support if any are missing or damaged.
- Safety First:
- This product contains small parts that may be a choking hazard. Keep children away from the installation area.
- Installation should only be performed by individuals familiar with the required tools and methods. If unsure, consult a professional installer. MantelMount is not liable for damage or injury due to incorrect installation or misuse.
- Do not allow children to operate or hang from the MantelMount system.
- Functional Notes: Be aware that the RB100 may reduce maximum mantel depth and affect the side-to-side swivel range. The tilt function may not operate as expected when the mount is in the stowed position.
