The Braun Body Groomer 3 Series (Type 5514) is designed for household use for men's grooming.

Operation and Charging

Charging the Device:

Connect the power supply to the trimmer and then to an electrical outlet. The charging indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 8 hours and provides sufficient power for use.

Attaching Components:

To attach the body trimmer head or comb attachments, align the component with the trimmer and push until it clicks into place. A "click!" sound confirms secure attachment.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Cleaning:

• Ensure the appliance is switched OFF before cleaning.
• The body trimmer head can be rinsed under running water ?. Ensure the power supply remains dry.
• After rinsing, shake off excess water and allow the trimmer to air dry completely.

Oiling:

To keep the trimmer working properly, apply a few drops of light machine oil ? (not included) to the cutting blades regularly, especially after cleaning.

10. Caution: The battery used in this device may present a fire or chemical burn hazard if mistreated. Do not disassemble, heat above 100 °C (212 °F), or incinerate.
11. To recharge the battery, only use the detachable power supply provided with this appliance. If the appliance is marked DC 491, only use Braun power supplies coded 491-XXXX.

• Do not open the appliance! The appliance contains non-replaceable batteries. Disassemble only at the end of the product's useful life for disposal as shown in the battery removal section.

• Recommended ambient temperature for trimming: 15 °C to 35 °C (60 °F to 95 °F).
• Do not expose the appliance to temperatures higher than 50 °C (122 °F) for extended periods.

Battery Removal:

This appliance contains rechargeable batteries. Before disposing of the appliance, disassemble the housing as shown, remove the rechargeable batteries, and recycle or dispose of them properly according to local guidelines. Attention: Disassembling the appliance will destroy it.

Battery Removal Steps: Diagrams illustrate the process: 1. Wear safety glasses and gloves. 2. Pry open the trimmer casing. 3. Open the casing further. 4. Use scissors to cut a wire or release a component. 5. Remove two cylindrical rechargeable batteries. A RBRC Ni-MH recycle logo is present.
