Danalock V3 is designed for indoor use only. Use only Danalock-approved accessories for Danalock V3. Do not connect incompatible products, and do not use Danalock V3 where wireless communication is prohibited. Such as hospitals, or other sensitive locations.

Do Not Use Where Prohibited

Do not operate Danalock V3 where radio communication is prohibited, as it may lead to interference or danger. This is because Danalock V3 cannot be turned off after installation.

Use and Human Exposure to Electromagnetic Fields

Danalock V3 is a low-power radio transmitter and receiver. The unit will periodically wake up either by use or by timer. When operating, it will send and receive radio frequencies (RF) for a short period.

Specific Human Absorption Ratio (SAR)

Danalock V3 is not intended for handheld use or carrying against the body. A minimum distance of eight inches (8") (20cm) should be maintained between Danalock V3 and a person.

Pacemaker and Other Medical Equipment

If other personal medical equipment is used near Danalock V3, contact the manufacturer of that equipment to ensure it is adequately shielded against RF radiation. Doctors can assist in obtaining this information.

Interference

Like all wireless devices, Danalock V3 can be affected by interference that may impact its function. Danalock V3 has been tested and certified against applicable international and European standards. This ensures correct function in the presence of electromagnetic interference and/or electrostatic discharge.

Usage Category

Danalock V3 is an electronic door lock with a wireless interface for mounting on a door. Danalock V3 has an LED for indicating operational status, but no audible signal if a connected lock enters an incorrect state.

Safety Regarding Electrical Manipulation

Danalock V3 has been tested against the EMC requirements of the 2014/53/EU directive. This ensures correct function in the presence of electromagnetic interference and/or electrostatic discharge.

Children

Danalock V3 is not used to collect data from, or market to, children.

Fire Doors

Danalock V3 is not approved for mounting on fire doors.

Accessories and Batteries

Use only approved accessories or batteries (intl. model: CR17345). Only certified batteries according to IEC / EN 60086-4: 2015 or IEC / EN 60086-4: 2019 should be used in this product. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Visit https://danalock.com/legal/lithium-batteries/ for a list of approved batteries. Do not connect incompatible products. There is a risk of explosion or fire if an incorrect type of battery is connected or short-circuited. Do not exceed the specified temperature range or other environmental requirements specified by the battery manufacturer. Recycle used batteries according to the instructions provided with the batteries.

Potentially Explosive Atmosphere

Danalock V3 cannot be turned off after installation, so a building with Danalock V3 installed must not be in the vicinity of a potentially explosive atmosphere. All signage and instructions regarding not using Danalock V3 in these locations must be heeded. A spark in such a location can lead to explosion or fire, causing bodily injury or death. Areas with potentially explosive atmospheres are often, but not always, clearly marked. Possible such areas include: tank areas (e.g., gas stations); below deck on boats; fuel or chemical transport or storage; areas with gas (e.g., propane or butane); areas where the air contains chemicals or particles (e.g., grain, dust, or metal powder); and other locations where it would not normally be recommended to install Danalock V3.

Battery Safety Information

Follow these guidelines to avoid the risk of fire or explosion:

  1. Recycle used batteries according to the instructions provided with the battery.
  2. Do not drop, puncture, disassemble, incinerate, or burn batteries.
  3. Touching both poles of a battery with a metal object will short-circuit the battery. Do not carry batteries loosely if they risk coming into contact with coins, keys, or other metal objects (such as in pockets or bags).
  4. Do not stack batteries removed from their packaging.
  5. Do not heat batteries to try to restore their charge.
  6. Do not exceed temperature or environmental requirements specified by the battery manufacturer.
  7. Never use Danalock without the battery cover installed.
  8. Do not mix batteries from different manufacturers.
  9. Do not mix new and old batteries in the unit.

Disclaimer

It is important to replace all four batteries simultaneously. Please use only standard CR123 lithium batteries. Failure to replace all batteries simultaneously can lead to the batteries overheating and, in some cases, exploding. Danalock is not responsible if batteries are not replaced correctly.
