Product Overview

The WifiGate is a connected receiver module designed for motorizing gates and garage doors. It allows for remote control of your motorizations, offers multi-brand compatibility, and can be controlled by voice commands via compatible smart assistants.

Wiring / Installing

Wi-Fi Signal Range: Certain materials can reduce the Wi-Fi signal's reach. It may be necessary to move the control unit and accessories for better reception. The signal strength varies based on material:

• 100%: Clear field
• 80%: Wood, glass
• 60-70%: Plasterboard
• 50-70%: Stone
• 20-50%: Concrete
• <10%: Metal

The module must be installed indoors, either in the gate operator cabinet or in a watertight junction box.

C1 - Installation for sliding gates

Before installing the module, ensure the gate is in the closed position. Attach the magnet to the gate and the sensor to the operator. Maintain a gap of no more than 15 mm between the magnet and the sensor (they must not touch).

C2 - Installation for swing gates

Before installing the module, ensure the gate is in the closed position. Attach the sensor to one leaf of the gate and the magnet to the other leaf. Maintain a maximum gap of 15 mm between the magnets (they must not touch).

C3 - Installation for garage doors

Before installing the module, ensure the door is in the closed position. Attach the magnet at the bottom of the door and the sensor at the same level, facing the magnet. Maintain a maximum gap of 15 mm between the magnets (they must not touch).

Gate/Door Status Indication

The module uses the magnet and sensor to indicate whether the gate/door is closed or not.

• Gate / door OPEN: The sensor no longer detects the magnet. The application indicates the gate is not closed, which could mean it is fully open, partially open, or in the process of opening or closing.
• Gate / door CLOSED: The sensor detects the magnet. The application indicates the gate/door is fully closed.

IMPORTANT: The dry contact signal is the same for an opening or closing trip. The module will consider the last request based on the receiver's position to display information on the application. The gate/door may move in the opposite direction to the application's indication. It is important to wait for the application animation to complete to know the actual state of the gate/door.

Configuring the Application

D1 - Installing the app

To download the iSCS Sentinel application, go to the App Store or Play Store on your smartphone. Search for 'iSCS Sentinel' and click 'Install'.

Once the app is downloaded, open it and click 'Create my account'. Enter your email address and password in the relevant fields. Click 'NEXT'. You must accept the privacy policy before clicking 'next'. Enter the validation code received by email, then confirm the account. Create your home by entering its name and address. Allow the application to access your location.

D2 - Adding a product

Place the module near a Wi-Fi router. Your smartphone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the control unit, and your phone's location must be enabled.

Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (5 GHz is not supported). Enter the Wi-Fi password and scan the product's QR code or enter the code manually. Plug in the device and wait for the LED to flash. If it does not flash, press the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds. Name the module and select the type of gate (e.g., Swing gate, Sliding gate, Garage door). You can add a profile photo from your camera, gallery, or use a default picture.

D3 - Troubleshooting

If the device fails to connect to Wi-Fi, an error page is displayed. Check the following 5 points:

• Ensure the power supply is properly connected and the LED lights up or flashes.
• Check the Wi-Fi connection.
• Do not include spaces when entering the Wi-Fi password.
• Verify your Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.
• Check your router is connected to the internet.
• Ensure your smartphone has its location enabled.
• Make sure you have sufficient bandwidth.
• Check that your smartphone is connected to the same network entered in the app.
• Verify the Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz and not 5 GHz.
• Pairing must be completed within 3 meters of the Wi-Fi router.

If the 'Repeat operation' option does not work, click 'Other method'. You can use 'AP pairing' or 'Bluetooth pairing' based on the LED status (slow flashing for AP pairing, quick flashing for Bluetooth pairing).

Settings

Configuring the application

Access the app's settings to manage your profile, homes, and notifications.

To add a home

Click the '+' icon, select 'New home', and enter the required details such as the home name and address. Click 'FINISH' to save.

To remove a home

Navigate to 'My homes', select the home you wish to remove, and click the delete icon. Confirm the deletion.

To edit a home

Navigate to 'My homes', select the home to edit, and modify the address details. Click 'SAVE' to confirm changes.

Notification settings

Access 'Notification settings' to enable or disable specific notifications, such as alarms or family alerts.

Using the app

The app allows you to open or close your gate/door remotely. You can view your 'My history' to track events and select the gate type (Garage door, Swing gate, Sliding gate) and set the gate opening time in seconds.

Scenarios

A scenario is an action that follows one or more triggering events. You can select trigger events (device, date/time, or location) and define actions (device control, notification, or delay). For example, you can set a scenario to open your gate every weekday at 8:00 AM. The scenario can be activated without waiting for the triggering events.

Adding Guests

You can invite guests via the iSCS Sentinel app to control devices. Guests can activate or deactivate devices but cannot configure them.

Controlling with Voice Assistants

The WifiGate module can be controlled using voice assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Ensure the device is connected to the iSCS Sentinel app and the voice assistant is connected to the internet. Follow the instructions in the respective apps (Google Home or Alexa) to link your iSCS Sentinel account. Example commands include "Open gate" or "Close gate" followed by your PIN code.

Reset

To re-pair the module to your Wi-Fi network, press and hold the button for 10 seconds. To completely remove the device, delete it from the app.

Warranty

The product comes with a 2-year warranty, in accordance with French regulations. Keep the barcode and proof of purchase safe. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from incorrect installation, improper use, modifications, lack of maintenance, impact, or adverse weather conditions.
