Siemens Transport Guidelines

General Information

These conditions apply to goods specified in supplier conditions as „EX Works / FCA / FOB”.

Important Notes:

• The order number must be clearly noted in all transport documents.
• Transport costs billed directly via invoice will not be accepted.
• For shipments classified as EXW or FCA, the forwarder must obtain the ORGID of the ordering Siemens entity and the SOR ("Siemens Organizational Reference", e.g., cost center) for their freight invoices.

Dangerous Goods:

For shipments containing dangerous goods, the supplier is responsible for providing the necessary legally required dangerous goods data to the freight forwarder at the time of order placement. The supplier is also responsible for the correct packing, marking, and labeling in compliance with the regulations relevant to the transport mode(s) used. Failure to comply will result in the supplier being billed for additional freight and administrative costs.

Caution:

• Shipments mentioned in section 2 are only permitted with prior approval from the ordering Siemens department.
• If the delivery origin is not your country, please request instructions from Siemens regarding the selection of the appropriate service provider.

Standard Deliveries

Air Freight Deliveries

For air freight deliveries, please use the following contacts:

Sea Freight Deliveries

For sea freight deliveries, please use the following contacts:

Rail Freight Deliveries

For rail freight deliveries, please use the following contacts:

Express Deliveries / Time Definite Deliveries (up to 70 kg, pre 09/12:00h)

Exceptions for deliveries over 70 kg:

• Maximum 300 kg per package.
• Package dimensions: Length x width x height in cm: 300 x 120 x 160 per package.

Time definite deliveries require approval from the ordering Siemens entity.

When using DHL waybills, please ensure the paying (receiving) Siemens entity's DHL account number is correctly entered. If necessary, request the relevant DHL account number from the demand carrier. The Siemens PO# must be included in the "Reference" field on the waybill.

For intra-community shipments (EU), please quote the service option „ECX“. For documents from third countries, please quote "DOX". For dutiable shipments from third countries, always quote "WPX".
