Registration and Activation
Activating Porsche ID Account
- Receive the registration email for My Porsche.
- Access My Porsche via the activation link to register.
- Set a password and security code for your Porsche ID. Your vehicle will be displayed on the homepage.
- Obtain the 8-digit pairing code from the homepage or app.
- Send the pairing code via text message to your stored mobile number for entry in the Porsche Communication Management (PCM), or make a note of it.
Information: Step 3 may occur automatically. If no activation email is received, contact your Porsche partner.
Activating Services via My Porsche
- Log in to My Porsche using your Porsche ID.
- Select the 'Services' tab to view available services.
- Select and activate or configure the desired service.
Information: In some countries, identity verification is required for the embedded SIM card. This may involve a video call with a third-party provider. Further details are available on www.porsche.com/connect.
Connecting and Pairing the Vehicle
Establishing a Data Connection
- Via Integrated SIM Card: The data connection is established automatically when the ignition is switched on, provided the SIM card reader is empty and the PCM phone function is on.
- Via External SIM Card: Insert a mini-SIM card (25 x 15 mm) into the SIM card reader. Follow prompts to enter PIN if necessary and confirm data connection establishment. To remove, press and pull the card. NOTICE: Do not use SIM card adapters.
- Via External WiFi Hotspot: Ensure the SIM card reader is empty and PCM phone is switched off (if using integrated SIM). Search for a WiFi hotspot, enter access data in the PCM, and establish the connection.
Information: If a data connection fails, check PCM phone status, network reception, private mode settings, and restart the PCM if necessary. For external SIM cards, verify data volume, correct insertion, APN settings, and data roaming status.
Selecting Access Point (APN)
If multiple access points are available, select the desired one. If none are configured, contact your mobile provider for settings or configure manually via PCM options.
Logging in Porsche Connect User (Porsche ID)
Link your Porsche ID to the PCM using the pairing code obtained during service activation. Access this via APPS > Options > Porsche ID settings > Link new Porsche ID.
Private Mode
When active, private mode suppresses communication between the vehicle, app, and My Porsche, preventing transmission of vehicle-specific information and configuration via these platforms. Inform all vehicle users about this feature.
Security Code
A security code is required for certain remote services (e.g., locking/unlocking the vehicle via the app, deactivating PVTS, activating remote functions for secondary users). Set, change, or reset it in your Porsche ID user settings via My Porsche.
