Use
Spread the throw over your sofa, armchair, or bed, ensuring the throw connector is positioned at the foot. Place the throw over yourself without wrapping it tightly or sitting on it, as this may activate the overheat protection system.
Connecting the Control Unit
Insert the control unit connector (2) into the throw connector (1). Then, insert the plug of the control unit cable into the mains socket (3). Upon connection, the control unit performs a self-diagnosis, lighting up all LEDs (10, 11) sequentially.
Switching On and Selecting Temperature
The control unit offers several temperature levels:
- 6: Fast Pre-heat
- 5-4: Medium Pre-heat
- 3-1: Continuous or All-Night Use
Press the ON/OFF button (7) to switch on. The control unit will perform a self-check. It defaults to temperature 6 and a 1-hour timer. Adjust temperature using the selector (8) until the desired temperature LED (11) illuminates. For accurate temperature judgment, lie on the sofa with the throw draped over you; do not rely on a hand placed on the throw.
Continuous Use: For continuous use, select temperature levels 1 to 3 only. DO NOT select higher temperatures for continuous use to avoid skin burns or heat stroke.
WARNING! DO NOT place the control unit under a pillow or sheets when in use.
Auto Shut Off Timer
The throw features an automatic shut-off timer with options for 1, 3, or 9 hours. When switched on, it defaults to 1 hour (LED 1h lights up green). Press the timer selector button (6) to choose a different duration. The timer resets to zero each time it is adjusted. Upon timer expiration, the throw switches off, and the standby LED (9) illuminates blue.
Note: If the power supply is interrupted, the control unit will resume the previous temperature and timer settings upon reactivation, with the timer starting from zero. The light intensity of the display and standby LED reduces after approximately 15 seconds of inactivity.
Switching Off
Press the ON/OFF button (7) to switch the throw off and remove the plug from the socket (3).
Cleaning and Maintenance
The throw is washable. Always disconnect the appliance from the mains and the control connector from the throw before cleaning.
Before Washing:
- Unplug the control unit cable from the mains socket (3).
- Press the grip levers on the control unit connector (2) to detach it from the throw connector (1).
Machine Washing:
- Wash the throw in a washing machine at 30°C on a delicate cycle.
- Spot clean stains before washing.
- Use only the delicate cycle for spinning; do not use an additional spinning cycle.
Drying in the Tumble Dryer:
- Dry the throw in a tumble dryer on a delicate cycle at a moderate temperature.
- After the drying cycle, reshape the throw to its original size while damp.
- Allow the throw to air-dry completely before use.
Drying in the Open Air:
- Spread the throw on a clothes airer, stretching it to maintain its original size, especially while damp. Repeat this process until fully dry.
WARNING! Dry the appliance flat without using pegs to avoid damage. Dry on a clothes airer, not in direct sunlight.
Ensure the throw is thoroughly dry before use. Do not iron the throw.
WARNING! Examine the appliance against the light to ensure cables are not bent or twisted. If the appliance does not resume its original size or if internal cables have issues, contact an authorized service center for a safety check.
Storing the Throw
Ensure the throw is completely dry before storing. Fold it like a normal throw. It is recommended to store it in its original packaging in a dry place. Allow the appliance to cool down before folding.
Frequently examine the appliance and its supply cord for signs of wear or damage. If any are found, or in case of malfunction, contact an authorized technical service center.
