Turntable Operation
Set Up
This turntable includes an AC/DC adaptor (12V DC 2.0A) for operation. Connect the speaker cables from each speaker to the back of the unit, ensuring color-coded cables (red to red, white to white) are used. Insert the DC plug of the adaptor into the DC IN Jack on the back of the unit and plug the AC plugs into a power outlet (100-240V AC 50/60 Hz). Turn on the unit using the POWER/VOLUME Knob; the Power LED Light Indicator will illuminate.
Note on Feedback Noise: To prevent Larsen effect or feedback noise, place speakers at least 60 cm (approx. 2 feet) away from the turntable and keep the dust cover open when playing records at higher volumes.
Listen to a Record
- Raise the dust cover.
- Turn on the unit using the POWER/VOLUME Knob. The Power LED Light Indicator will turn RED.
- Place a record on the turntable platter and set the player speed to match the record speed. Use the 45 RPM adapter for 45 RPM records or records with large center holes.
- Remove the needle cartridge protective cover.
- Unlock the tone arm lock from the tone arm rest. Push the lift lever backward; the tone arm will rise. Gently move the tone arm over the record. The turntable platter will rotate if the tone arm is moved towards it and the Auto Stop Control Switch is ON. Release the tone arm onto the record by pushing the lift lever forward to begin playback.
If the Auto Stop Control Switch is ON, the record will stop automatically. If it is OFF, the record will not stop automatically, and you must manually lift the tone arm and return it to the rest, then turn off the power.
Notes on Auto Stop:
- The AUTO STOP function generally works with 33RPM records but may not function correctly with all vinyl records.
- If the record stops before the last track, set the AUTO STOP switch to OFF.
- Do not rely solely on AUTO STOP; manual intervention may be required.
- The unit has an automatic standby feature for power saving (CE regulation). It will enter standby mode after 15 minutes of no audio signal. To reactivate, move the tone arm to the platter or turn the POWER/VOLUME Knob off and on.
Stylus Replacement
Removing the Stylus
- Place fingers at the tip of the stylus and push down in direction "A". Warning: Excessive force may damage the cartridge.
- Pull the stylus out in direction "B".
Installing the Stylus (Replacement Stylus # ITNP-S1)
- Hold the tip of the stylus and insert the other edge by pressing toward direction "C".
- Push the stylus up toward direction "D" until it locks.
Caution:
- Do not bend or force the stylus.
- Avoid touching the stylus needle to prevent injury.
- Turn off the unit's power before replacing the stylus.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Note: The stylus typically lasts about 300 hours. Replace it when sound quality changes. 78 RPM records may reduce stylus life.
Bluetooth Operation
Connect external Bluetooth devices (smartphones, tablets) wirelessly:
- Turn on the unit using the POWER/VOLUME Knob.
- When the turntable is switched on and the tone arm is on the rest, Bluetooth mode is automatically activated. The LED light will flash, indicating pairing mode.
- For the first connection, pair your device: Turn on Bluetooth on your external device, search for "Victrola Kingfield", and enter "0000" if a password is required.
- Select "Victrola Kingfield" to connect. The LED light will stop flashing once connected.
- Adjust sound level using the POWER/VOLUME Knob and your external device's volume controls.
AUX-IN Operation
- Connect an external audio device to the AUX IN socket using a 3.5 mm stereo cable (not included).
- Turn on the unit and adjust the volume.
- Use the POWER/VOLUME KNOB for volume control and the external device for playback functions.
Note: The unit remains in AUX mode while the cable is connected. Unplug the cable to use record or Bluetooth playback.
