Installation Instructions

Installing Bracket for B4FM to Helmet

  1. With Screws: Mount the bracket between the internal padding and external shell of the helmet. Tighten the two screws using the included Allen wrench. Note: Adjust with 0-2 rubber pads on recommended positions (A, B) based on helmet shell thickness. Use longer screws if adding the plastic mounting pad on position C.
  2. With Adhesive Pad: If not using the clamp plate, use the 3M tape bracket. Peel off the protective backing, adhere the bracket to the helmet, and press for 15 seconds. Allow 24 hours for the glue to dry. Note: LEXIN recommends bracket mounting; the 3M tape bracket is an option for convenience, used at your own risk.

Mounting the B4FM Unit to Bracket

Slide the B4FM main unit down onto the bracket until it clicks firmly into place. To remove, insert the Dismounting Stick between the unit and bracket, then push the unit upwards.

Installing Speakers

Note: The speaker with the shorter wire is for the left ear, and the longer wire is for the right ear to enhance FM radio reception.

  1. Place one half of the speaker velcro pad into the helmet's inner padding.
  2. Push the speakers firmly against the velcro pads. Use provided spacers if the helmet has deep ear pockets to position speakers closer.
  3. Hide wires between the helmet liner and shell.

Note: For helmets with deep ear pockets, use the included speaker pads to increase speaker thickness.

Installing Microphone

Note: Button and boom microphones are interchangeable between full-face and open-face helmets, based on preference and fit.

Full Face Helmet/Button Microphone:

  1. Locate an area in the center of the mouth section of the helmet. Adhere half of the microphone velcro pad.
  2. Attach the button microphone to the velcro.
  3. Connect it to the headphone connector from the left.

Open Face Helmet/Boom Microphone:

  1. Adhere one half of the velcro pad to the base of the microphone and the other half to the inside of the helmet under padding.
  2. Adjust the microphone direction so the triangular mark points towards your mouth.
  3. Use the boom microphone holder for additional support if necessary.
