Alpinestars Helmet: Important Information

About This Manual

This manual contains vital safety information for your Alpinestars helmet. It is intended for the consumer and must not be removed by anyone else. Please read and understand all instructions before using the helmet.

Safety First: Understanding the Risks

Motorcycling is an inherently dangerous sport. While Alpinestars helmets are constructed and tested to meet rigorous safety standards (ECE and DOT), they offer limited protection. Riders must be aware of the risks, use appropriate protective gear, and ensure the helmet is correctly fitted and used. Alpinestars disclaims all responsibility for injuries incurred while wearing its products.

Choosing and Wearing Your Helmet

Sizing: Measure your head circumference at its widest point. Select the size closest to your measurement. If between sizes, try the smaller one first.

Fitting: A properly fitted helmet should feel snug. Check for movement by turning your head. If it shifts excessively, it's too large.

Chinstrap: This is critical for safety. The chinstrap must be positioned under the chin, snug against the throat, and securely fastened every time the helmet is worn. Learn how to properly use the Double D-ring or Micro-buckle system.

Helmet Care and Maintenance

Keep your helmet clean using a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or high-pressure water. Inspect the helmet regularly for damage. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Never modify your helmet.

Lifespan and Impact

Helmets have a limited lifespan (Alpinestars recommends replacement after 5 years of use or sooner if it becomes loose). Crucially, a helmet MUST be replaced after any significant impact, even if there is no visible damage, as its protective capabilities are compromised.

Disclaimer

By using this helmet, you assume all risks and liabilities. Alpinestars is not responsible for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from the use of its products.
