Introduction
This document provides a quick start guide for the Teltonika TRB145 4G LTE RS485 Gateway, covering hardware overview, installation, configuration, and technical specifications.
Hardware Overview
Front View
The front panel features a power socket labeled 'POWER' with four pins and a 'Power LED' indicator. An 'RS485 interface' with three terminals is also present.
Back View
The back panel includes a SIM card slot accessible after removing a panel, labeled '+ REMOVE PANEL TO INSERT SIM +'. It has indicators for 'Mobile network type LEDs' (2G, 3G, 4G) and 'Mobile signal strength indication LEDs'. A 'USB port', a 'Mobile antenna connector', and a 'Reset button' are also located on the back.

DB9 Connector Pinout
- 1. Driver negative signal (D-).

Power Socket Pinout
The power socket pinout indicates connections for 'Power' (Red wire) and 'I/O' (Green wire) on one side, and 'Ground' (Black wire) and 'I/O' (White wire) on the other.
Hardware Installation
- Unscrew two back panel hex bolts.
- Remove the back panel.
- Insert your SIM card into the SIM socket.
- Attach the panel and tighten the hex bolts.
- Attach the mobile antenna (max torque 0.4 N·m / 3.5 lbf·in) and connect the USB cable.
Device Configuration
- Power on the device and connect the USB cable to your computer.
- Allow the gateway to boot up. This might take up to 30 seconds.
- Your computer's OS should detect the USB device and install the driver.
- To enter the gateway's Web interface (WebUI), type http://192.168.2.1 into the URL field of your Internet browser.
- Use login information shown in Image A when prompted for authentication.
- After logging in, pay attention to the Signal Strength indication displayed in the Mobile widget (Image B). To maximize cellular performance, try adjusting the antennas or changing the location of your device to achieve the best signal conditions.
Login Screen (Image A)
The login screen displays fields for entering a username and password, with a 'LOG IN' button. It includes the Teltonika logo and a prompt for authorization.
Mobile Widget (Image B)
The mobile widget shows the signal strength as -65 dBm. It indicates 'Data connection' is 'Connected', 'State' is 'Registered (home); OPERATOR; 4G (LTE)', 'SIM card slot in use' is 'Ready', and displays 'Bytes received/sent' as 348.7 KB / 223.5 KB.
