Warranty

Artika For Living Inc. offers a five-year (5) limited warranty on manufacturing defects for residential use from the date of purchase. This warranty is valid for the original owner in USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, Iceland, France, and Spain and is non-transferable. It does not apply to retailers or commercial applications. The original sales receipt is required for all warranty claims. The remedy is product or part replacement at Artika’s discretion, not exceeding the original purchase price.

The warranty is valid only for products installed according to local building codes and the provided instruction manual. It does not cover products installed incorrectly or subjected to abnormal use. Products or parts may be required for inspection. The warranty excludes normal wear and tear, misuse, negligence, vandalism, improper maintenance (including damage from cleaning agents, abrasives, alcohol, or organic solvents), improper handling, accidents, abuse, fire, flood, theft, acts of God, neglect, or alterations. Accessories like bulbs or batteries are excluded. Handling, labor, transportation, or other installation/replacement costs are not covered. This warranty is valid only in the country of purchase through authorized retailers.

It is important to switch off the main electrical supply from the fuse box/circuit breaker before installing the unit or doing any maintenance.

Do not use outdoors.

IMPORTANT: The installer and/or user must read, understand, and follow these instructions before installing the product. This product must be properly installed before it is used. Failure to follow instructions may result in product malfunction, for which the manufacturer will not be held responsible. Failure to follow installation and/or operating instructions voids the warranty.

It is recommended that this product be installed by a certified electrician. In some states or provinces, this is a legal requirement according to local electrical and building codes.

Regulatory Compliance

USA (FCC): Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) this device does not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for Class B digital devices, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. If interference occurs, users are encouraged to try correcting it by reorienting/relocating the antenna, increasing separation, connecting to a different circuit, or consulting a dealer/technician.

Canada (IC): Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device does not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

What You Will Need

• Screwdriver
• Drill
• 1/4 in. drill bit (6.5 mm)
• Pencil

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker and the light switch. Ensure the power is off before removing the old light fixture.
2. Install the mounting bracket on the junction box using the junction box screws (Fig. 1). Ensure that the two mounting bracket screws are pointing away from the ceiling.

3. Place the canopy over the mounting bracket. Mark on the ceiling the 4 locations where the holes will be drilled. Remove canopy.
4. Drill pilot holes in the ceiling with a 1/4 in (6.5 mm) drill bit (Fig. 2).

5. Connect the white wire (N) from the light fixture to the white supply wire (N) from the junction box using a wire connector. Connect the black wire (L) from the light fixture to the black supply wire (L) from the junction box using a wire connector. Connect the ground wire (G) from the light fixture to the ground wire (G) from the junction box using a wire connector (Fig. 3).

6. Push wall anchors into the holes.
7. Carefully push the wires into the junction box. Align the holes of the canopy from the light fixture with the mounting bracket screws.
8. Fasten the 4 retaining screws into the wall anchors (Fig. 4).

9. Carefully install the diffuser by lifting it into position (Fig. 5).
10. Rotate clockwise until it is fixed (Fig. 5).
11. Restore electrical power.

Remote Control Functions

1. Turn on and off light
2. Reset light to 4000 K and maximum intensity
3. Increase light intensity
4. Decrease light color temperature
5. Reduce light color temperature and intensity to the minimum
6. 30 seconds timer off
7. Increase light color temperature
8. Decrease light intensity
9. Quick adjustment of the light intensity
10. Quick adjustment of the light colour temperature
