1. System Requirements
To connect the DrivePro Body 10 to a PC, the following environment is required:
- A desktop or laptop PC with available USB ports.
- Operating Systems:
- Windows® 7
- Windows® 8
- Windows® 10
- macOS® 10.14 or later
The following environment is required to use the DrivePro Body Toolbox software:
- Windows® 7
- Windows® 8

2. Preparation Before Use
Device Layout
The DrivePro Body 10 features the following components:
- Lens
- Recording LED
- Power Button
- Reset Button
- microSD Card Slot
- Infrared LED
- Snapshot Button
- Micro USB Port
- Velcro Holder
- 360° Rotating Clip
Charging the DrivePro Body 10
Fully charge the battery using the included power adapter or USB cable before use. The warning lamp will be orange while charging and turn off when fully charged. Charging can be done via:
- Connecting the DrivePro Body to a power adapter using the USB cable and charging from an AC outlet.
- Connecting the DrivePro Body to a PC using the USB cable for charging.
Inserting the microSD Card
A microSD card must be inserted into the DrivePro Body before starting recording.
Insert the microSD card into the card slot at the bottom of the DrivePro Body.
Note: Always format the memory card before using it for the first time.
Caution: Format the memory card using the DrivePro Body Toolbox. For alternative formatting methods, refer to the FAQ at https://jp.transcendinfo.com/Support/FAQ991.
To remove the microSD card, press the card to release it from the card slot.
Cautions:
- Do not remove the memory card while the power is shutting down, as this may damage or erase data on the memory card.
- Transcend is not responsible for data loss during operation.
For better recording, Transcend recommends using high-endurance microSD cards or memory cards with MLC NAND flash. Compatible cards include:
- High-Endurance microSDHC Card
- High-Endurance microSDXC 350V Card
Models produced before September 2019 support 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities (Class 10 or higher).
LED Indicators
Top LEDs:
- Flashing: Low storage space or low battery.
When connected to PC/Power Adapter:
- Flashing: Data transfer in progress.
- Solid: Charging.
Front LED:
- Flashing: Normal recording.
- Rapid Flashing: Event recording.
Date & Time & Stamp Settings
It is recommended to connect the DrivePro Body to a PC and set the date, time, and stamps using the DrivePro Body Toolbox software before use. This will add date and stamp information to recorded footage. Refer to the DrivePro Body Toolbox software section for details.
3. Recording
Normal Recording
Press and hold the Power Button (1) to start recording. The Recording LED will flash red. Press and hold the Power Button (1) again to stop recording. The Recording LED will turn off. A video file is saved every 3 minutes.
Infrared LED Mode
In low-light conditions, the Infrared LED mode activates automatically, illuminating the four infrared LEDs. You can manually switch to Infrared LED mode by pressing and holding the Snapshot Button (2). Ensure a distance of at least 50cm between the device and the subject for accurate light sensing. Recordings made with Infrared LEDs are in black and white.
Event Recording
To start event recording, briefly press the Power Button (1) during normal recording. The device will beep twice (short, then long) and begin recording. The Recording LED will flash red at short intervals. Once a file is completed (based on the set recording time), event recording automatically switches to normal recording. Footage recorded during event recording is saved in the "Event" folder to prevent overwriting.
4. Taking Snapshots
While recording, press the Snapshot Button (2) to take a photo. Snapshots taken with Infrared LEDs will be recorded in black and white.
5. Playback/Transfer/Deletion of Recording/Snapshot Files
To view recording or snapshot files, connect the DrivePro Body 10 to your PC.
Option 1:
Remove the microSD card from the DrivePro Body 10 and insert it into a compatible card reader connected to your PC to transfer files.
Option 2:
- Insert the smaller end of the USB cable into the Micro USB port on the bottom of the DrivePro Body 10.
- Connect the larger end of the USB cable to a USB port on your desktop or laptop PC.
Playback of Recording Files & Display of Snapshot Files
Select the DrivePro Body 10 folder on your PC and click the VIDEO folder to play recording files. Click the PHOTO folder to view snapshot files.
Transfer and Deletion of Recording/Snapshot Files
Windows 7 / 8 / 10
No drivers are required when connecting the DrivePro Body to a PC. Windows OS has built-in drivers for this camera. Upon connecting the DrivePro Body to your PC and opening "My Computer", a new removable disk drive will appear, automatically assigned a drive letter representing the DrivePro Body 10. The "Safely Remove Hardware" icon will also appear in the Windows system tray.
In this state, the DrivePro Body 10 functions as an external storage device for data transfer. To transfer recordings or snapshots, drag and drop files from the DrivePro Body 10 folder. You can also delete unnecessary files when the memory card is full.
Safely Removing the DrivePro Body 10 (Windows OS)
- Click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the system tray.
- In the "Safely Remove Hardware" window, click to continue.
- When the message "USB Mass Storage Device can now be safely removed from the computer" appears, disconnect the DrivePro Body 10 from the USB port.
macOS® 10.14 or later
No drivers are required. When you connect the DrivePro Body 10 to an available USB port, your PC will recognize it automatically.
Safely Removing the DrivePro Body 10 (macOS)
Drag the disk icon representing the DrivePro Body 10 to the Trash, then disconnect it from the USB port.
Warning:
- To prevent data loss, always follow the correct removal procedure when disconnecting the DrivePro Body 10 from your PC.
- File transfer is only possible while the DrivePro Body 10 is connected to the PC. Disconnect from the PC to record or take snapshots.
6. DrivePro Body Toolbox Software
Administrator privileges are required to use the DrivePro Body Toolbox. The DrivePro Body Toolbox is Transcend's dedicated software for DrivePro Body devices, compatible with Windows and macOS. It allows for file management and configuration of the DrivePro Body and its recording/photo files.

- Install the DrivePro Body Toolbox software on your desktop or laptop PC.

Status
View basic information such as the DrivePro Body's serial number, firmware version, user label, and model name.
You can change the user label by clicking the corresponding option.
Click the playback icon to play recording files or view snapshot files.
Settings
Configure DrivePro Body and video settings.
Device Settings
- Sync time with PC: Automatically synchronize the DrivePro Body's date and time settings with the connected PC.
- LED Indicator: Configure the DrivePro Body's LED indicators (On/Off).
- Buzzer: Configure the DrivePro Body's buzzer (On/Off).

- Reset Using Function Buttons: Enable or disable formatting and resetting the DrivePro Body by pressing the Power and Snapshot buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.

- Resolution: Set the recording resolution (1080P (FHD)/60fps, 1080P (FHD)/30fps, 720P (HD)/60fps, 720P (HD)/30fps). Note: Models produced before September 2019 do not have this option.
- Loop Recording: Set whether to overwrite the oldest files when the memory card is full (Disabled/Enabled).
- Video Length: Set the duration of recording files (3 minutes / 5 minutes / 10 minutes).
- Light Frequency: Select the appropriate frequency to reduce AC light flicker. For Japan, set to 60 Hz for western regions and 50 Hz for eastern regions.
- Microphone: Configure the microphone during recording (On/Off).
Video Stamp
- Video Stamp: Display date and label during recording (On/Off).
- Date Format: Set the date display format (Y/M/D / M/D/Y / D/M/Y).
- Time Format: Set the time display format (24HR / AM/PM).
- Watermark: Display a watermark on the recorded footage (On/Off).
Tools
Perform firmware updates, disk formatting, and DrivePro Body initialization.
Format Disk
Formats the disk. All data will be permanently erased.
Reset Device
Resets all settings to default or erases all contents and settings.

7. Precautions
To prevent malfunction or deformation, avoid using or storing the DrivePro Body 10 in the following locations:
- Extremely hot or cold environments, such as inside a car parked outdoors.
- Direct sunlight, near heating appliances, or in humid locations.
- Areas with strong magnetic fields.
- Sandy or dusty locations.
Care and Storage of the DrivePro Body 10 Lens
- Wipe the lens surface with a soft cloth in the following situations:
- When fingerprints are on the lens surface.
- When the lens is exposed to sea breeze, such as at the beach.
- Store in a well-ventilated place to prevent dust and dirt accumulation.
- Periodically clean the lens as described above to prevent mold growth.
Cleaning
Clean the surface of the DrivePro Body 10 with a soft cloth slightly dampened with water, then wipe dry with a dry cloth. To avoid scratches:
- Do not use chemical agents/products such as thinners, benzine, alcohol, disposable cloths, insect repellents, sunscreens, or insecticides.
- Do not touch the DrivePro Body 10 with hands that have come into contact with the aforementioned chemical agents.
- Do not leave the DrivePro Body 10 in contact with rubber or vinyl for extended periods.
Condensation
When moving the DrivePro Body 10 from a cold to a warm environment (or vice versa), condensation may form inside or outside the camera. Condensation can cause the DrivePro Body 10 to malfunction. If condensation occurs, turn off the DrivePro Body 10 and wait for the moisture to evaporate and dry before use.
8. IPX4 Water Resistance
The camera body of the DrivePro Body 10 is IPX4 equivalent splash-proof (not fully waterproof). It is protected against water splashes but not against pressurized water from showers or faucets.
Caution: The DrivePro Body 10 is not waterproof when connected to the USB cable. Malfunctions due to improper use are not covered by warranty.
- The DrivePro Body 10 is not fully waterproof and cannot be used underwater.
- Ensure the memory card cover is securely closed. Failure to do so may allow moisture to penetrate the camera. Do not open or close the cover with wet hands.
- Do not use the DrivePro Body 10 in high-temperature or high-humidity environments (e.g., saunas, steam rooms, shower rooms).
- To prevent moisture ingress, do not use the DrivePro Body 10 in the rain for extended periods.

Note: To remove the DrivePro Body from the clip/holder, pull it from left to right. Ensure the DrivePro Body is securely attached to the clip/holder when mounting.

My computer does not recognize the DrivePro Body 10
Please check the following:
- Is the DrivePro Body 10 properly connected to the USB port? If not, disconnect and reconnect it.
- Is the DrivePro Body 10 connected to a Mac keyboard? If so, disconnect it from the keyboard and connect it directly to a USB port on the Mac itself.
- Is the USB port functional? If not, refer to your PC (or motherboard) manual to ensure the port is enabled.
The buttons on the DrivePro Body 10 are not working
Use a thin object, such as a paperclip, to press and hold the reset button located on the bottom of the device.
Is the DrivePro Body 10 shockproof and waterproof?
The DrivePro Body 10 has IPX4 equivalent splash-proof capabilities and shock resistance equivalent to the strict drop test standards of the US military standard. *
*It is not fully waterproof and cannot be used underwater.
*Internal testing was conducted based on MIL-STD-810G 516.6-Transit drop test conditions.
Can the DrivePro Body 10 record at night?
Yes. The DrivePro Body 10 automatically activates its Infrared LEDs in low-light conditions, enabling recording. However, recordings and snapshots taken with the Infrared LEDs will be in black and white.
12. Recycling and Environmental Considerations
12.1 WEEE Recycling
This product is designed and manufactured with high-quality materials that can be recycled or reused. The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin indicates that the product is subject to the WEEE Directive.
When disposing of electrical and electronic equipment, please follow national laws, such as take-back programs offered by retailers. Dispose of old products properly to avoid negative impacts on the environment and human health.
Battery Disposal
This mark indicates that the product contains rechargeable batteries subject to the EU Battery Directive (2006/66/EC) and must be disposed of properly.
When disposing of batteries, always follow national laws. Dispose of batteries properly to avoid negative impacts on the environment and human health.
For products with non-replaceable batteries, attempting to remove the battery will void the warranty. Please dispose of the battery properly when discarding the product.
13. Warranty Policy
"Beyond the boundary, and further up" is Transcend's commitment to customer service. We always strive to place ourselves at a higher standard than the industry norm, as we believe it is our duty to ensure customer satisfaction.
All Transcend products are covered by a warranty, tested for defects, and confirmed to comply with published specifications. If a Transcend DrivePro Body 10 malfunctions due to manufacturing or component defects during normal use within the recommended environment, it will be repaired or replaced with an equivalent product within the warranty period. The terms and limitations of this warranty are outlined below.
Warranty Period:
The warranty for Transcend's DrivePro Body 10 is valid for two (2) years from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required to receive warranty service. Transcend will inspect the product to determine if it is repairable or eligible for replacement. Transcend reserves the right to decide on repair or replacement. Transcend also reserves the right to replace the product with a functionally equivalent product.
Limitations:
This warranty does not cover defects caused by accident, misuse, abuse, improper installation, modification, acts of God, incorrect usage, or electrical problems. Furthermore, warranty is void for products where the product case has been removed, physical damage to the product surface including quality seals or product serial numbers, or evidence of misuse or alteration. Transcend is not responsible for the recovery of any data lost due to failure of hard drives or flash memory devices. Transcend recommends using Transcend's DrivePro Body 10 with devices that have been confirmed to meet industry standards. Transcend is not liable for damages to Transcend products resulting from the use of third-party devices. Transcend also assumes no responsibility for consequential, indirect, or incidental damages, or business losses due to loss of investment or data. Transcend is not liable for damages or failures of third-party devices, even if aware of the possibility.

- Repairs/replacements for defective products can be accepted by sending them to us. Return shipping from us is at our expense, but you are responsible for the shipping costs to us.

15. End-User License Agreement (EULA)

- Generally. Transcend Information, Inc. ("Transcend") is willing to grant the following license to install or use the software and/or firmware ("Licensed Software") pursuant to this End-User License Agreement ("Agreement"), whether provided separately or associated with a Transcend product ("Product"), to the original purchaser of the Product upon or with which the Licensed Software was installed or associated as of the time of purchase ("Customer") only if Customer accepts all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. USING THE SOFTWARE WILL CONSTITUTE CUSTOMER'S ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT. IN ANY CASE, TRANSCEND 'S LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT WILL BE LIMITED TO THE TOTAL AMOUNT ACTUALLY AND ORIGINALLY PAID AT RETAIL BY CUSTOMER FOR THE PRODUCT. The foregoing Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability will apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the exclusions and limitations set forth above may not apply.
- Termination. Transcend may, in addition to any other remedies available to Transcend, terminate this Agreement immediately if Customer breaches any of its obligations under this Agreement.
- Miscellaneous. (a) This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between Transcend and Customer concerning the subject matter hereof, and it may only be modified by a written amendment signed by an authorized executive of Transcend. (b) Except to the extent applicable law, if any, provides otherwise, this Agreement will be governed by the law of the Republic of China, excluding its conflict of law provisions. (c) If any part of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, and the remaining portions will remain in full force and effect. (d) A waiver by either party of any term or condition of this Agreement or any breach thereof, in any one instance, will not waive such term or condition or any subsequent breach thereof. (e) Transcend may assign its rights under this Agreement without condition. (f) This Agreement will be binding upon and will inure to the benefit of the parties, their successors and permitted assigns.
16. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Statement
This device complies with Part 15 FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference. (2) This device must accept any interference received including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
