Wiring Diagram
Diagrams illustrate terminal connections for different models:
- TGM50-EP (for electric heating): Shows terminals L, N, N, L, RT, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
- TGM50-WP (for water heating): Shows terminals L, N, N, L, RT, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Includes 'open close' indicator near N.
- TGM50-WPB (for boilers connected via dry contact): Shows terminals L, N, Dry Contact, RT, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
Installation Instruction
This product is suitable for standard 86*86mm wall boxes and 60 mm European round boxes.
Steps:
- Connect the power box according to the wiring diagram.
- Separate the power supply from the control board cable.
- Screw the power supply into the 86 wall box.
- Connect the power board to the wall line, and align the buckle at 30 degrees to complete the installation.
Description of Display & Icons
The thermostat display features various icons and indicators:
- Top Row Icons: ? WiFi, ? Clock, ?️ Hand (Manual mode indicator), ? Lock (Child lock indicator), ? Lightbulb (Auto mode indicator), ? Window (Open window detection indicator).
- Main Display: Shows Room Temperature / Setting Temperature.
- Bottom Row Icons: ? Power button, M button (Mode switch), ⬇️ Down arrow (Decrease temperature), ⬆️ Up arrow (Increase temperature), ? Heating indicator.
- Other Indicators: SET button, House icon (indicating heating/cooling status).
Operation Instruction
- Power on/off: Press the ? [Power] button to turn the thermostat on or off.
- Set Temperature: Press the ⬆️ [Up] or ⬇️ [Down] buttons to set the desired temperature.
- Switch Modes: Press the M [Mode] button to switch between Manual (?️ [Hand icon] displayed) and Leave (? [House icon] displayed) modes. For programming mode, use the Tuya Smart or Smart Life APP.
- Set Child Lock: Simultaneously press and hold the ⬆️ [Up] and ⬇️ [Down] buttons for 5 seconds to enable or disable the child lock (? [Lock icon] will appear/disappear).
- WiFi Link: When powered on, press and hold the ⬆️ [Up] button for 5-8 seconds. The ? [WiFi icon] will flash, indicating the thermostat is in Wi-Fi configuration state.

Setup is performed via the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.

Remark:
- The defaulted temperature for periods 3 and 4 is the same as period 2. Please adjust according to your needs.
- Do not set the last time point in the day beyond 23:59.
Advanced Option Setting
To enter advanced options: In the power-off state, press the M [Mode] button and the ⬇️ [Down] button simultaneously for 5 seconds. Press M [Mode] to navigate through options, use ⬆️ [Up] and ⬇️ [Down] to adjust values, and press the ? [Power] button to save and exit.

Notes
- 02 Sensor selection: If no external sensor is connected, do not set to OUT or ALL, otherwise 'Er' will appear on the screen, and the thermostat will stop heating until the problem is solved. 'Er' also indicates a sensor error.
- 05 Antifreeze function: If this function is turned on, the room temperature and the ? [Power] button will remain displayed even when the thermostat is turned off.
- 11 Window opening detection: When enabled, if the room temperature drops by 6°C within 4 minutes, the window opening mode will trigger. Heating will stop, and the window opening detection icon will be displayed. This mode exits if: 1. The room temperature rises by 3°C, 2. 48 minutes after triggering, or 3. Manually.
Phone Port Operation Instruction (Wi-Fi Connection)
Preparation before Wi-Fi connection: APP download and account registration:
- Download APP:
- For iOS system: Login to the App Store, search for "Tuya Smart", and download it on your iPhone.
- For Android system: Login to Google Play, search for "Tuya Smart", and download it on your phone.
(Note: QR code for download is omitted as per instructions.)
2. Register Account
If you do not have an APP account, you can register or log in via SMS verification code. Click "Create a new account" to access the Tuya Smart Platform Privacy Policy page. After clicking "Agree", you will proceed to the mobile phone registration page.
Registration Process
The system automatically determines the current country/region, or you can select it manually. Enter your mobile phone number or email address, click "Get Verification Code", enter the received code, then enter your password, and click "Finish" to complete registration.
Wi-Fi Connection
- Enable Connectivity: Turn on your mobile phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Ensure your mobile phone is connected to a 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network.
- Activate Thermostat Wi-Fi: When the thermostat is turned on, press and hold the ⬆️ [Up] button for 5 seconds. The ? [WiFi icon] will flash, indicating the thermostat has entered the code matching state.
- Add Device: There are three methods to add the device via the Tuya APP:
- Method 1: On the Tuya APP's main page, a prompt "Device to be added" will appear. Click "Add". (Refer to picture 1).
- Method 2: In the Tuya APP, click "Add Device" or the "+" icon (refer to picture 2) in the upper right corner of the homepage. Enter the "Add Device" interface. The APP will prompt you to find the device to be added (refer to picture 3) and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Method 3: In the Tuya APP, click the "+" icon on the upper right corner of the homepage. Navigate to "Small Household Appliances" and find the temperature control product (Bluetooth + WIFI model) (refer to picture 4). Follow the prompts, ignoring irrelevant content on the page (as shown in picture 5), and tap "Next". Continue following the prompts, clicking "Next" as indicated in pictures 6 and 7.
4. Enter Wi-Fi Information
Enter the name and password for your 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network. Ensure the Wi-Fi name and password contain only numbers and letters, without special symbols. Follow the on-screen prompts. The device will show as being added, and then successfully added within a few seconds. The time taken may vary depending on Wi-Fi signal strength.
5. Temperature Controller APP Interface
The Tuya Smart APP provides an interface to control the thermostat, allowing you to view current temperature, set target temperatures, switch between modes (Manual, Leave, Programming), and access various settings such as temperature calibration, sensor selection, antifreeze function, and more.
