At the end of this virtual Training Session you will be able to:
- Identify System alerts on the Atellica Solution
- Identify how to troubleshoot errors using the Operator Event Log.
- Review the steps to create a Service Support Request.
- Access PEP connect and Siemens Document Library.
- Access Software Upgrade release notes.
Status Light
System Alerts
The Alert Module displays all active module and system alerts. The operator accesses the Alert Module using the colored tab above the Command bar. To filter alerts, select a Module or Category from the Alert Module.
The system alerts are designated as follows:
- A. Black tab with a red outline - errors have been acknowledged but error conditions still exist
- B. Solid yellow tab - there are one or more unacknowledged warnings
- C. Black tab with a yellow outline - warnings have been acknowledged but warning conditions still exist
- D. Solid red tab - there are one or more unacknowledged errors
Samples > Sample Handler
The Sample Handler interface displays sample racks and individual sample details. It allows for the management and tracking of samples within the system.
Sample Details
The Sample Details view provides comprehensive information about individual samples, including test results, interpretation, and status. It also lists any errors or required actions.
Patient Sample Details
This section details the patient's test data, including sample information, test results, and interpretation. It allows for the review of specific tests performed on a sample.
Worklist > Worklist Overview
The Worklist Overview provides a comprehensive list of all pending, in-process, and completed tests. It allows users to filter, sort, and manage the worklist.
Filtering the Operator Event Log
The Operator Event Log can be filtered by time, module, and severity (Errors, Warnings, Information). This helps in quickly identifying and troubleshooting specific issues.
Selecting the Event
Users can select specific events from the Operator Event Log to view more details or access relevant help information.
Event Help
The Event Help feature provides detailed descriptions of events, possible causes, and corrective actions, aiding in efficient troubleshooting.
Following the blue hyperlink
Hyperlinks within the system interface, often indicated by blue text, provide direct access to related procedures or information, such as reagent handling or troubleshooting guides.
Inventory > IM Reagent Loader
The IM Reagent Loader interface displays the status of reagent packs, including inventory levels, onboard stability, and any associated errors or alerts.
Service Support Request
Users can create a Service Support Request directly from the system interface. This process involves providing contact information, a description of the issue, and any relevant details.
Callback Preference: Phone or Remote Session with Chat.
Contact Information: First Name, Last Name, Phone Number.
Problem Description: A detailed account of the issue, with a character limit.
Files List: Option to upload relevant files, such as screen captures.
The system provides a ticket ID upon successful submission and indicates that a local technical support provider will contact the user.

Atellica® Solution Troubleshooting
Recover from a Slow User Interface
A slow user interface (UI) occurs when a window requires more than 5-10 seconds to load. To recover, users should sign out and back into the system.
- Sign out and back into the system.
- On the Status bar, select the sign-out icon.
- Select Sign Out > Yes.
- At the Sign In window, enter the Operator ID and Password.
- Select Sign In.
Software Troubleshooting
On PEP Connect, users can find a job aid for performing a successful PCC restart.
