3M™ Pro-Protect Electronic Hearing Protector Quick-Start Guide

This Quick Start Guide is not a substitute for the User Instructions. Before use, the wearer must read and understand the User Instructions.
➊ Power & Volume
The hearing protector has a "POWER/BLUETOOTH®" button and a "VOLUME" button.
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to power the headset ON/OFF. Voice Assist will announce "Power ON" or "Power OFF."
- Adjust ambient volume by selecting one of four levels by pressing the volume button.
- To mute the ambient volume, press and hold the volume button. While muted, press the volume button once to return to your last volume setting.
- For optimal performance, set the volume to the lowest level needed for conversation.
➋ Pair Device Function
To initiate pairing, quickly double-tap the Bluetooth® button. You will hear "Bluetooth® pairing." Ensure your Bluetooth® enabled device is scanning/searching for devices. Verify that your device discovers "3M Pro-Protect" and select it to connect.

➌ Once Your Device is Paired
Upon successful connection, you will hear "Bluetooth® connected." For subsequent uses, your device will automatically link when the hearing protector is turned on.

➍ Incoming Calls, Messages, Alerts & Audio Playback
The hearing protector's buttons manage calls and audio playback:
- Answer/Terminate Call: Press the Bluetooth® button once ?.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the Bluetooth® button ☎️.
- Audio Playback:
- Play/Pause: Press once ▶️
- Advance Tracks: Double-press quickly ▶️▶️
- Previous Tracks: Triple-press quickly ▶️▶️▶️
After a call ends, you will hear "Call terminated."
➎ Navigation
Button functions for navigation and control:
- ON/OFF: Hold three seconds ⏳
- POWER/BLUETOOTH®: Quickly double-press to pair ?
- Volume: Single press to toggle volume level ?
- Mute: Press & Hold to mute ?
- Return from Mute: Single press to return from mute to last setting
