11. Hints and Tips
[Information]: Refer to Safety chapters.
11.1 Cooking Recommendations
The oven has five shelf positions, counted from the bottom. Cooking results may vary from previous appliances. The tables provide standard settings.
The oven circulates air and recycles steam for a moist environment, keeping food soft inside and crusty outside, reducing cooking time and energy consumption.
- Baking Cakes: Do not open the oven door before 3/4 of the set cooking time is up.
11.2 Baking and Roasting
- Multiple Trays: If using two baking trays, leave one empty level between them.
- Cooking Meat and Fish: Use a deep pan for fatty foods to prevent stains. Let meat rest for 15 minutes before carving. Add water to the deep pan during roasting to reduce smoke.
- Cooking Times: Times vary by food type, consistency, and volume. Monitor performance and adjust settings for your cookware and recipes.
Cooking Tables (Cakes, Bread/Pizza, Flans, Meat, Fish):
Description: These tables provide recommended temperatures (°C), shelf positions (indicated by numbers or symbols), and cooking times (min) for various dishes using Conventional Cooking and Fan Cooking methods. They also specify the recommended cookware (e.g., Cake mould, Baking tray, Bread tin, Deep pan, Wire shelf).
Example Table Structure (Cakes - Whisked recipes):
Dish | Conventional Cooking | Fan Cooking | Time (min) | Cookware | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Temp (°C) | Shelf | Temp (°C) | Shelf | |||||
Whisked recipes | 170 | 2 | 160 | 3 | 45 - 60 | Cake mould |
Similar tables are provided for Bread and Pizza, Flans, Meat (various cuts and preparations), and Fish.

Preheat the oven to maximum temperature, use the fourth shelf position. Grill with the maximum temperature setting.
Grill Cooking Table:
Description: This table lists food items (e.g., Fillet steaks, Sausages, Chicken) with recommended weights (kg), grilling times for the 1st side, and grilling times for the 2nd side.
11.4 Dehydrating - Fan Cooking
Cover trays with greaseproof paper or baking parchment. For best results, stop halfway through drying, open the door, and let it cool overnight. Use the third shelf for 1 tray, first and fourth for 2 trays.
Dehydrating Tables (Vegetables, Herbs, Fruit):
Description: These tables provide recommended temperatures (°C) and drying times (h) for various vegetables, herbs, and fruits.
11.5 Moist Fan Baking - Recommended Accessories
Use dark, non-reflective tins for better heat absorption.
Diagram Description: Images show recommended accessories: Pizza pan (28cm), Baking dish (26cm), Ramekins (8cm diameter, 5cm height), Flan base tin (28cm).
11.6 Moist Fan Baking
Follow the suggestions in the table for best results.
