5.2 Controller Installation
Connect the network cable to the controller via an available LAN port on the Wi-Fi router. Then connect the controller to the power outlet.
The LEDs indicate the startup initialization by flashing (see table).
Upon its first connection to the internet, the controller automatically searches for software updates. If an update is available, it is automatically downloaded and installed by the controller. This process can take up to 30 minutes. It must be completed to start the controller's commissioning!
5.3 Controller Programming
The controller is the first device in your system to be linked to the app. You can then add other Bosch Smart Home components and expand your system. Start the app and wait for the app to detect the controller.
The app will then guide you through the installation. A detailed description is available in the user manual.
The app will ask you to scan the product's QR code. You will find the QR code on the back of the controller.
The app will then ask you to press the controller's adjustment button for approximately 3 seconds.
The following three steps are in the app:
- Registration: Select your system password to register with your Smart Home Controller. You will need the system password later if you wish to integrate more mobile devices into your Smart Home system or to reset the Smart Home Controller to factory settings.
- Remote access configuration.
The app will inform you when the controller setup is complete. All controller LEDs will light up white.
5.4 Adding Other Devices
Once the controller installation is complete, you can add other components to your Bosch Smart Home network. To do this, follow the instructions in the user manual of the corresponding device.
