- 2mm Allen Wrench
- 4mm Allen Wrench
Step 1 - Head Attachment
- Lay the Neck on its back.
- With the LED strip facing up, slide the Head onto the end of the Neck until the screw hole in the Head aligns with the screw hole in the Neck.
- Insert the M3 x 8mm Flat Head Screw through the hole in the Head and into the threaded hole in the Neck and tighten it using the 2mm Allen Wrench.
Step 2 - Mounting Clamp Adjusting (if necessary)
The mounting clamp can attach to desktops from 3/4" to 3 1/2" thick. If the mounting clamp does not fit on your desk edge, you can adjust the clamping range by removing the lower clamp bracket assembly and repositioning it.
- Using the 4mm Allen wrench, remove the two screws holding the lower clamp bracket assembly to the back plate of the clamp.
- For thinner desks (minimum 3/4"), reassemble the lower clamp bracket assembly in the upper threaded holes.
- For thicker desks (maximum 3 1/2"), after removing the lower clamp bracket assembly, use a Phillips Head screwdriver to remove the round clamping plate from the threaded stem and knob. Then remove the threaded stem and knob from the L-shaped bracket.
- Flip the L-bracket over.
- Reinstall the threaded stem and knob through the bottom of the flipped L-bracket and reattach the round clamping plate to the threaded stem.
- Reattach the lower clamp bracket assembly to the bottom holes in the back plate using the two screws removed previously and the 4mm Allen Wrench.
Step 3 - Mount to the Desk
- Loosen the handle under the mounting clamp at the base of the Neck and slide the clamp onto the edge of your desk, ensuring the back of the clamp is against the back edge of the desktop.
- Tighten the knob until the clamp is securely fastened to the edge of your desk.
Step 4 - Power Cord Connection
- Plug the barrel end of the Power Adapter cord into the end of the cord coming from the lamp.
- Plug the Power Adapter into a 120V power outlet. If you are attaching the lamp to a height adjustable desk or table, make sure there is enough slack in the power cord to reach the lamp when the desk or table is raised.
Step 5 - Lamp Head Positioning
- The Head of the lamp slides laterally to illuminate areas as needed. To move the lamp Head, gently slide it to the left or right to the desired position.
- The lamp's flexible Neck allows the Head to be positioned in nearly any orientation. Adjust the position of the lamp Head by gripping the Neck, not by gripping the ends of the lamp Head. Doing so can damage the lamp's sliding mechanism.
Note: Positioning the lamp Head vertically with the Head parallel to the Neck will cause it to slide down to the end of travel.
Step 6 - Lamp Operation
- Touch the Power button (represented by a power symbol ⏻) on the front of the lamp Head to turn it on.
- Touch the Sun button (represented by a sun symbol ☀️) on the front of the lamp Head to cycle through the color temperatures. When turned off, the Sliding Flex Lamp remembers the color temperature setting for the next session.
