Operation
Charging the Battery and Machine
The charger (XT433) is designed for a voltage range of 100-240V and 50-60Hz. Connect the charger to the mains. The charger has two slots: one for the clipping machine (front) and one for the Li-ion battery (rear). Insert the Li-ion battery or the clipping machine into the respective slot to begin charging. The charge status indicator will blink green while charging and turn solid green when fully charged. A red blinking light indicates a defective battery or charger.
Charging Principle: Li-ion batteries are charged with constant current pulses. The charging process is monitored to ensure a 100% charge without overcharging. Battery temperature and charging time are also monitored. Only one charging slot is active at a time; the machine is charged first, then the spare battery if inserted.
Charging Time: Approximately 240 minutes for a full charge.
Cutter Head Handling
Attaching the Cutter Head: Ensure the cutter head (12) is correctly aligned with the cutter head holder (2) and the mechanism (17). Press the cutter head onto the holder until it audibly clicks into place. Ensure it is securely attached.
Oiling the Cutter Head: Clean the upper and lower cutting plates with a soft cloth or brush, ensuring the gaps between teeth are clean. Lightly oil the plates with special oil for cutter heads (GT604).
Replacing the Cutter Head: Turn off the clipping machine. Press the cutter head release (13) and lift the cutter head forward. Remove the cutter head. Clean the opened cutter head mechanism with a brush. Attach the new cutter head and ensure it clicks into place.
Replacing the Li-ion Battery: Hold the clipping machine (2) and press the battery release buttons (3). Pull the Li-ion battery (7) out of the machine. Insert a charged Li-ion battery until it clicks into place.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Manual Cleaning/Disinfection: Before cleaning, unplug the charger. Ensure no liquid enters the product. Allow the product to air dry for at least 1 minute after cleaning/disinfection. Wipe the housing with a lint-free cloth dampened with a standard disinfectant. If necessary, wipe off residue with a clean, damp cloth. Clean charging contacts with isopropyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol using a cotton swab. Avoid corrosive chemicals. Never immerse the product in water or cleaning agents. Do not introduce liquid into the charging slots.
Control, Care, and Testing: Allow the product to cool to room temperature. After each cleaning/disinfection, check for cleanliness, function, and damage. Oil the cutter head as needed. Check the product for damage, irregular noise, overheating, or excessive vibration. Inspect the cutter head for broken, damaged, or dull blades. Discard damaged products immediately.
Maintenance: Annual maintenance is recommended for reliable operation.
Troubleshooting
Clipping Machine Not Starting: Check switch position; charge the Li-ion battery. If the battery is defective or not inserted correctly, replace it. If the machine stops, check if the battery is low or if the safety circuit has been activated (turn off and on again).
Machine Not Charging: Ensure the mains cable is plugged in correctly. Check for a defective mains cable or charger. If the battery is not charging, check contacts in the charging slot; they may be dirty or damaged. If the battery is defective, it may need replacement by the manufacturer. If the battery overheats during charging, remove it, let it cool, and restart charging. If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer.
