Introduction
This document provides essential safety and operating instructions for the Motorola Vehicle Power Adapter PMPN4169A. It is designed to charge compatible Motorola radio batteries.

Before using the battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the charger, the battery, and the radio using the battery.
Warnings
- Risk of Injury: To reduce risk of injury, charge only rechargeable Motorola Solutions authorized batteries: PMNN4474, PMNN4507, PMNN4508, and PMNN4530. Other batteries could explode, causing personal injury and/or damage.
- Accessory Use: Use of accessories not recommended by Motorola Solutions may result in risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.
- Disconnecting Charger: To reduce risk of damage to the electric plug and cord, pull by the plug rather than the cord when disconnecting the charger.
- Damaged Charger: To reduce risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, do not operate the charger if it has been broken or damaged in any way.
- Do Not Disassemble: Do not disassemble the charger. It is not repairable and replacement parts are not available. Disassembly may result in risk of electric shock or fire.
Operational Safety Guidelines
- This equipment is not suitable for outdoor use. Use only in dry locations/conditions.
- Connect equipment only to an appropriately fused and wired supply of the correct voltage (as specified on the product).
- Make sure the cord is located where it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or subjected to water, damage, or stress.
- Output power from the power supply unit must not exceed the ratings stated on the product label located on the bottom of the charger.
- The equipment may become warm during operation. If it becomes hot to touch, unplug from the outlet immediately and discontinue use.
Description
The Vehicle Power Adapter is used to charge the Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries of compatible Motorola radios. Frequent charging will not adversely affect the battery's cycle life.

Operating Instructions
The Vehicle Power Adapter is not to be used with any other radio.
Attaching the Vehicle Power Adapter:
(Refer to Figure 1)
- Attach the Micro-USB connector to the Micro-USB receptacle of the radio.
- Plug the Vehicle Power Adapter into the cigarette lighter socket of the vehicle.
Removing the Vehicle Power Adapter:
(Refer to Figure 1)
- Unplug the Vehicle Power Adapter from the cigarette lighter socket of the vehicle.
- Press the top of the accessory connector and pull away from the radio.

The Motorola Vehicle Power Adapter (model PMPN4169A) is shown. It has a Micro-USB connector on one end, designed to plug into the Micro-USB receptacle of a compatible Motorola radio.
