Overview
The MXP600 Car Kit is a vehicle adapter designed to transform your MXP600 portable into a virtual mobile radio, providing in-vehicle battery charging, hands-free operation, and extended coverage.
This kit allows the MXP600 portable radio to function as a virtual mobile radio, offering access to a wide range of accessories commonly associated with mobile radios. These accessories include various microphones, speakers, remote push-to-talk options, telephone-style handsets, alarm relays, and emergency footswitches.
By connecting the portable to an external antenna, the car kit provides extended TETRA and GPS coverage. The in-vehicle battery charging feature, powered by the car battery, allows users to charge their portable even when away from the office.
Designed for Versatility
The junction box serves as a single interface for the portable radio, connecting it to a range of functions such as vehicle speakerphone capability and battery charging.
It facilitates connections to mobile radio accessories like fist microphones and external speakers. Additionally, the junction box features an entertainment mute output to silence the vehicle's entertainment system during calls. A microphone bias control is also included, enabling the use of third-party low bias microphones, which may be pre-installed in some vehicles.
Safer Communications
The three-axis rotating mounting bracket allows for safe communication while the radio remains mounted, ensuring ease of use and convenience. The cradle provides a secure holder for the portable radio, keeping it upright and visible for easy access to buttons and keys, thereby enabling safer driving conditions. A quick-release button allows for one-handed removal of the radio from the car kit.
Data Connection
The USB connector enables a connected device to send data over the TETRA network (PEI). Users can easily program the radio by connecting a PC via the USB port on the car kit.
