This user guide provides essential information for the Motorola Solutions IMPRES™ Adaptive Single Unit Charger.

Important Safety Instructions

• Pull the plug, not the cord, when disconnecting from the AC outlet.
• Use extension cords only when necessary and ensure they meet gauge requirements (18 AWG for up to 6.5 ft, 16 AWG for up to 9.8 ft).
• Do not operate a damaged charger; contact Motorola Solutions service.
• Do not disassemble the charger; it is not repairable.
• Unplug the charger before maintenance or cleaning.
• Charge only Motorola Solutions authorized batteries.
• Use only recommended accessories.

Operational Guidelines

• Suitable for dry locations only; maximum ambient temperature is 40°C (104°F).
• When a radio is in the charger, it can be ON only if transmitting data wirelessly (e.g., Wi-Fi); otherwise, turn it OFF.
• Connect the charger to an AC outlet using only a Motorola Solutions authorized power supply.
• Ensure the power cord is placed safely to avoid tripping or damage.
• Connect to a properly fused AC outlet with the correct voltage.
• Disconnect from line voltage by removing the power cord from the AC outlet.
• Do not overload circuits or power strips.

Operating Instructions & Charging Procedure

The IMPRES Adaptive Charger System is a fully automated battery care system.

1. Place the radio/IMPRES battery into the charger.
2. Remove the radio/IMPRES battery when fully charged (LED turns steady GREEN).

The charger accommodates a radio with an attached IMPRES 2 or IMPRES battery, or an IMPRES 2 or IMPRES battery alone. Batteries charge best at room temperature. The charger also features 2-USB Type A Power Outputs (2.5W / 500mA per connector) for charging other wireless devices.
