Product Overview
The Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 are wireless earphones designed for a seamless audio experience. They feature Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, a charging case, and various functionalities controlled via touch surfaces.
Getting Started
Charging the Earbuds
Place the earbuds into the charging case. The case provides power to the earbuds. Indicator lights on the case show the charging status.
Powering On/Off
The earbuds typically turn on when removed from the charging case and turn off when placed back inside.
Key Features and Operations
Low Latency Mode
To enable/disable: With the earbuds not in a call, open the charging case, take out and insert the earbuds into your ears. Long-press the touch surface on both the left and right earbuds simultaneously for 1.5 seconds to toggle low latency mode.
Note: If low latency mode is enabled, closing the charging case lid will disable it. You can re-enable it by pressing and holding the touch areas.
Connecting to the App
1. Scan the QR code to download and install the Xiaomi Earbuds app for additional features.
2. Follow the instructions within the app to connect the earbuds.
Note: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone during the connection process. Place the earbuds in the charging case, open the lid, and ensure your smartphone is close to the case.
Forced Pairing
Take the earbuds out of the charging case, insert them into your ears, and tap the touch surface on the left and right earbuds three times.
Factory Reset
Ensure the charging case is powered and the earbuds are inside. Open the charging case, remove and insert the earbuds into your ears. Within 30 seconds, simultaneously press the touch surfaces on the left and right sides five times (when not listening to music or on a call). A beep indicates a successful reset, and the earbuds will re-enter pairing mode.
Touch Controls
- Calls: Triple tap the touch surface to answer/end calls.
- Music: Double tap to play/pause music. Triple tap to skip to the next track.

Current warranties do not apply in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Warranties do not apply to products not properly imported, manufactured, or obtained from Xiaomi or an authorized reseller. Contact your seller for warranty claims on such products.
