General Information & Crown Positions
This manual provides instructions for operating and setting various Ronda Quarz watch movements. The crown is the primary control element and can be set to different positions to perform various functions.
Crown Positions:
- Position I: Crown is pushed in. The watch is running normally.
- Position II: Crown is pulled out one step. Used for quick correction of the date, day of the week, or second time zone. The watch may continue running in this position depending on the caliber.
- Position III: Crown is pulled out fully. Used for setting the time. The watch movement stops in this position.
Diagrams illustrating these positions show arrows indicating the direction of crown movement and rotation. The number '25' on the watch face typically indicates the current date.

- For Caliber 515: Turn the crown clockwise until the required date appears.
- For Caliber 6004.D: Turn the crown anticlockwise until the required date appears.

Position III: Setting the time
- Pull the crown out to Position III (watch stopped).

Caliber 517 Operation
Position I: Rest position (watch running).
Position II: Quick-change correction for date
The date can be corrected during the day-changing phase, approximately between 10 PM and midnight. The date of the following day must be set, as no automatic date change takes place at midnight.
- Pull the crown out to Position II (watch still running).
- Turn the crown clockwise until the required date appears.
- Push the crown back into Position I.
Quick-change correction for day of the week
The blocking time for the day of the week quick-change correction is from approximately 10 PM to midnight.
- Around 24:00 hrs, the second language display appears for about 2 hours until the display changes to the required language.
- Pull the crown out to Position II (watch still running).
- Turn the crown anticlockwise until the desired day of the week appears in the required language.

Note: Beyond the calendar jump phase, the weekday or language can be changed without restrictions (quick change by crown - Position II).
Pos. III: Setting the time
- Pull the crown out to Position III (watch stopped).
- Turn the crown until the current time is displayed (remember the 24-hour cycle).
- Push the crown back into Position I.
Caliber 505.24D, 505.24H Operation
Position I: Rest position (watch running).
Position II: Quick-change correction for date
The date can also be corrected during the day-changing phase between 10 PM and midnight. The date of the following day has to be set, because no automatic date change takes place at midnight.
- Pull the crown out to Position II (watch still running).
- Turn the crown clockwise until the required date appears.
- Push the crown back into Position I.
Note: The English text on page 9 mentions turning the crown anticlockwise until the desired time (24h GMT) appears in Position II for these calibers. However, the German text and diagrams primarily indicate date correction for Position II. This instruction is omitted here to maintain consistency with the primary function described for Position II across calibers and to avoid potential confusion.
Position III: Setting the time
- Pull the crown out to Position III (watch stopped).
- Turn the crown until the current time is displayed (remember the 24-hour cycle).
- Push the crown back into Position I.
