Disc Handling and Care
Proper handling ensures optimal performance and longevity of your discs and the unit.
- Inserting Discs: Insert only one disc at a time with the label side facing up. Incorrect insertion may result in a "Disc error". If the error persists, use the RESET button (located on the rear panel) with a pointed object.
- Disc Types: Use only standard, round-shaped audio CDs. Avoid discs with irregular shapes, as they can damage the mechanism.
- New Discs: If a new disc is ejected, check for minor imperfections on the inner hole or outer edge. Gently rub these areas with a soft cloth or pen tip if necessary before re-inserting.
- Cleaning Discs: Fingerprints, dust, or dirt can cause playback issues. Clean discs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild, neutral detergent solution.
- Handling Precautions: Do not drop discs. Avoid touching the playback surface to prevent fingerprints. Do not apply labels or write on discs.
- Disc Accessories: Avoid using accessories that alter the disc's thickness or diameter, as they may cause operational problems.
- Playable Discs: The unit supports standard Audio CDs (12 cm).
