Installing Your Refrigerator
- Measure the height, width, and depth of the opening, including baseboards, molding, tile, and countertop overhang. Ensure there is enough room to open the doors, considering walls, islands, or other obstacles.
- Refer to the dimension illustration for specific measurements.
- Allow 2 inches of clearance on the hinge side of the refrigerator when installing next to a wall where the handle may make contact.
- Allow a 1-inch minimum clearance at the rear for proper air circulation and water/electrical connections. Allow a 3/8-inch minimum clearance at the sides and top for ease of installation.
- Ensure each door and entryway in the home is wide enough for the refrigerator to be moved through easily.
