A new solution for anti-static applications
Overview
The KEYENCE SK Series offers advanced solutions for controlling static electricity in the workplace. This series features simultaneous measurement of static electricity and humidity, providing enhanced anti-static control and enabling users to identify potential static-related problems more accurately.
The series includes two main types:
- Hand-held type SK-H050: Ideal for on-the-spot measurements.
- In-line type SK-050/1000: Designed for continuous measurement.
The Most Advanced Static Control: Pin-point Measurement of Both Static Charge and Humidity
Effective static electricity control in the workplace requires sufficient ambient humidity to reduce static charges. However, humidity levels often vary within the same room, making it difficult to measure humidity at specific points near target workpieces. KEYENCE's SK Series provides pin-point measurement of both humidity and static charge for improved anti-static management.
Relationship Between Static Electricity and Humidity
Static electricity and humidity are correlated: when humidity exceeds 60% RH, static charge accumulation is less likely. Even in dry conditions, such as during winter, maintaining adequate humidity around workpieces can prevent static-related issues.

Humidity Variation by Location

Industry's First Simultaneous Measurement: By measuring static charge and humidity concurrently, users can precisely identify areas prone to static-related problems. This facilitates the implementation of optimal anti-static measures, such as humidification or the installation of ionizers.
High-Precision and Wide-Range Measurements
Equipped with a high-precision surface potential sensor, the SK Series offers superior measuring accuracy. KEYENCE products can measure highly charged objects up to ±50 kV with a one-volt display resolution.
SK-H050 Hand-held Type
Ideal for On-the-Spot Measurements
- 180 Degree Rotating Head: Features a floating sensor head structure that rotates 180 degrees, allowing for easy measurement in narrow spaces and offering improved shock resistance.
- Easy Handling and Operation: Ergonomic body design ensures comfortable handling.
- Charge Monitor Function: Measures static elimination speed and ion balance to assess ionizer capability. (Requires SK-H055 ionizer monitoring unit, sold separately).
- Data Storage Function: Stores up to 100 measurement data sets internally, transferable to a computer via USB cable as CSV data. PC software is available for free download.
- Laser Pointer for Reference Distance: Dual laser pointers help identify the optimal measuring distance for precise measurements.
- Large, Easy-to-Read LCD: A highly visible liquid crystal display provides clear on-site reading of measurement results.

SK-050/1000 In-line Type
Ideal for Continuous Measurement
- Compact Sensor Head: Ultra-small design allows installation in tight spaces within machinery.
- Clearly Visible Indicator: Large LED clearly indicates status, even when the amplifier is not directly visible.
- Connectable Main Unit and Expansion Units: Up to eight amplifiers can be connected, reducing wiring for multi-point measurement applications.
- Installation Distance Correction: Measurement accuracy is maintained by entering the installation distance into the amplifier, correcting for variations between the sensor head and the target workpiece.
- Multiple Output Options: Includes independent 3-output judgment system and analog voltage/current output. A communication unit enables simultaneous data transmission from up to 8 connected units. Supports various communication protocols including PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EtherNet/IPTM, DeviceNetTM, CC-Link, RS-232C, and BCD output.

BAR TYPE: Ultra High-Speed Sensing Ionizer SJ-HA Series
Features a bar type with built-in controller, available in lengths from 360 mm to 3000 mm (14.17"-118.11"). Uses Pulse AC method with an ion balance of ±30 V. Offers excellent static elimination and low maintenance.
BLOWER TYPE: Wide Area Sensing Ionizer SJ-F2000/F5000 Series
A blower type ionizer using Pulse AC method with an ion balance of ±5 V. It is a high-speed, high-precision blower suitable for tabletop or equipment use.
SPOT TYPE: Ultra-Small Integrated Sensing Ionizer SJ-M Series
A spot type ionizer using Pulse AC method with an ion balance of ±15 V. It offers flexible mounting and attachment options.
