- 2x Power Harness
- 1x Adjustable Suction Cup Monitor Mount
- 1x Monitor Sun Shade
- 2x Antennas
- Mounting Hardware (Washers, T-Tap, and Screws)
Monitor Installation
Part 1: Monitor Mounting
- Start by removing the monitor, dash mount, and monitor antenna from the box.
- Install the antenna into the open coaxial connector on the back of the monitor.
- On the dash mount bracket, loosen the thumb screw behind the metal retention plate and the hand screw on the base of the bracket to allow tilt adjustment.
- Slide the metal retention plate into the groove on the back of the monitor and hand tighten the thumb screw to secure it.
- Find a desirable area on the dash or windshield for mounting. Ensure there is enough space and a flat surface before removing the film from the suction cup base.
- Once the mounting location is chosen, clean the area well, remove the film from the suction cup, and mount it to the area.
Part 2: Monitor Power
- From the back of the monitor, locate the solid black cable with a female power plug. Use either the included 12v power point connector harness or the direct wire harness.
- For direct wire connection, find a good accessory power circuit in the vehicle (active only when the key is on). Connect the red wire to this circuit. Find a good chassis ground or use a self-tapping screw to ground the black wire on the chassis.
- For 12v power point harness installation, plug the connector into the vehicle's 12v power point. Confirm the monitor turns off when the key is off. If it stays on, switch to the direct wire method.
- Test the system by turning on accessory power with the key.
Camera Installation
Part 1: Camera Mounting
If you wish to preview the camera angle before permanent mounting, skip this section and proceed to Camera Power and Camera Pairing.
- Loosen and remove the side screws securing the camera to its bracket.
- Find a suitable location on the vehicle/trailer. Ensure the bracket is straight, the harness can be routed for power, the field of view is satisfactory, and the area is clear of moving parts that could damage the camera or harness.
- Secure the camera bracket to the mounting location using the included self-tapping screws.
- With the camera temporarily removed, drill and prepare any holes needed to route the harness to power. It is recommended to use anti-rust compounds, fill the hole with a rubber grommet, and seal the grommet with silicone after the harness is run through.
- Reinstall the camera into its bracket and hand-tighten the side screws. This allows for adjustments to the camera tilt angle if needed.
Part 2: Camera Power
The camera requires connections to a 12v power source and a ground source.
- Plug the included DC power adapter harness into the vacant connector on the camera harness. Screw the included antenna onto the back of the camera.
- Make the following connections:
- Red Wire: Connect to 12V+ ACC or 12v from the trailer lights. This connection ensures the camera operates only when trailer lights are on.
- Black Wire: Connect to chassis ground (recommended).
- Once ideal power connection locations are identified, make the necessary connections. A splice and solder connection is always recommended.
Part 3: Camera Pairing
- For initial setup, the camera must be manually paired to the monitor. Power up the monitor and press the "Menu" button.
- Select the "Camera Pairing" option from the menu and press "SEL" to initiate the automatic pairing sequence.
- The pairing process typically takes about 20 seconds. Once successfully paired, the camera will automatically pair on subsequent power-ups.
- Confirm the camera angle is satisfactory for the application and fully tighten the side screws on the camera bracket.
