Product Overview
This document provides installation instructions for the Brandmotion AHDS-7810v2 Wireless Observation Camera System, featuring a 7" HD DVR Monitor.

Monitor Mounting & Power
Part 1a: Temporary Mounting the Monitor
- Take the suction-cup mount and loosen the top thumb screw. Slide the mount onto the back of the monitor.
- Tighten the top of the mount at the desired location.

Part 1b: Permanent Mounting the Monitor
- Choose a desired mounting location on the dashboard and screw in the U-Bracket.
- Slide the monitor between the U-bracket, aligning the holes on the side. Use the provided screws to secure the monitor.

Part 2a: Temporary Powering the Monitor
- Take the power cable with a cigarette adapter and plug it into the monitor cable and the vehicle's cigarette outlet. Route the wire to avoid interfering with vehicle operation.

Part 2b: Permanent Powering the Monitor
- Using the power harness with the cigarette lighter plug, cut off and discard the plug.
- Connect the red wire to the accessory power and the black wire to ground.

Camera Mounting & Power
Part 1: Per-Wire Camera Power Connections and Mounting
Use this section if your trailer is pre-wired for a wireless camera (e.g., Furion). Use the adapter mounting plate and power adapter.
- Locate the pre-wire housing mounted to the rear of the trailer.
- Remove the 4 small Phillips screws holding the square cover plate. Discard the cover plate, but keep the screws for a later step.
- Inside the housing, locate the 3.5mm connector. Plug in the supplied power adapter and tape the connection.
- Attach the adapter mounting bracket to the back of the camera using the 4 small black Phillips screws supplied in the kit.
- Plug the camera's power connection into the power adapter connected in step 3. Tape the connector.
- Push any extra wire slack into the housing hole where the power wire originates.
- Attach the antenna to the camera.
- Align the mounting plate to the 4 holes in the housing. Attach the mounting plate using the 4 screws removed in step 2. Do not overtighten.
- Test the camera by turning on the vehicle's parking lights to supply power.
- If the camera is not visible on any channel, follow instructions for connecting additional cameras.

Part 2: Universal Camera Power Connection and Mounting
Use this section if your trailer is not pre-wired. Use the universal mount and power harness.
- Remove the rear center top marker light to expose the wiring.
- Splice the power harness into the power and ground wires connected to the light.
- Locate where the light power wires enter the trailer wall. Drill a 1/2 inch hole to run the camera harness connector through. If the stud is next to the power wire hole, drill under the center marker light. If the stud is under the power wire hole, drill next to the center light between the center and right side marker light.
- Run the connector or camera power harness through the drilled hole.
- Reinstall the marker light, ensuring the base plate is sealed to prevent water entry.
- Connect the universal mounting plate to the back of the camera using the 4 small black Phillips screws.
- Connect the power harness to the camera. Tape the connector to ensure it remains plugged in.
- Push any extra wire slack into the drilled hole until the camera bracket touches the trailer. Mark the 4 holes for mounting.
- Drill the 4 marked holes.
- Push the wires back into the hole and seal with silicone. Mount the camera with 4 Phillips screws.
- Attach the antenna to the camera.
- Test the camera by turning on the vehicle's parking lights to supply power.
- If the camera is not visible on any channel, follow instructions for connecting additional cameras.

Pairing a New/Additional Camera
Part 1: Pairing New/Additional Camera
- Follow steps in Section 2: Camera Mounting & Power for mounting and connecting to power.
- Once connected, return to the monitor and turn on the vehicle. Note: The trailer with the camera must also be powered. You have 45 seconds to connect the camera to the monitor after powering up.
- Select the desired channel number for connection.
- Hold down the “CAM” button to begin pairing.

Wireless Monitor Controls
- CAM: Press to cycle through 5 camera views (CH 1, CH 2, CH 3, CH4, SPLIT SCREEN). Press and Hold to enter “PAIRING MODE”.
- MENU: Press to open the Main Menu. Press within menu screens to go back.
- - / +: Press to decrease/increase brightness. Press to move selection left (-) or right (+) within menu screens.
- Power Button (Symbol: ⏻): Press to turn the monitor on/off.
- ENTER: Press within menu screens to open selections.
- CARD: Press from the camera screen to open the SD Card menu.
Wireless Camera Pairing

Single Camera Pairing:
Note: You have 45 seconds to initialize pairing after the camera is powered.
- Power on the monitor and camera. Check for a RED light on the camera body to confirm power.
- Cycle the CAM button to the desired channel for pairing.
- Press and Hold the CAM button until the pairing process begins.

Multiple Camera Pairing:
- Use the PAIRING BUTTON on the camera housing.
- Cycle the CAM button to the desired channel.
- Press the MANUAL PAIRING BUTTON on the camera, then Press and Hold the CAM button on the monitor until pairing begins.
Recording Setup
Setting the Time/Date:
- Press MENU to open display options.
- Select SYSTEM from the main menu.
- Select TIME and program using - / + and ENTER.

DVR Recording:
- Insert an SD card (up to 128GB) into the monitor.
- Press CAM to view the desired input for recording. Note: The camera must be visible on screen for recording. Only active cameras are recorded.
- Recording begins automatically once an SD card is inserted.
- For SD Card options, select RECORD from the main menu.

Viewing Recordings
Monitor Playback:
- Press the CARD button or press MENU and select PLAY.
- Press ENTER to open the 100MEDIA Folder to view recorded video files.

Computer Playback:
- Remove the SD card from the monitor.
- Insert the SD card into a computer.
- Use the computer's default media player to open .mp4 files.
Main Menu
Select the MENU button to open the Main Menu. Use the - and + buttons to navigate selections. Press ENTER to select an option. Press MENU to deselect or go back.

Picture Settings
Adjust settings related to monitor picture quality: Brightness, Hue, and Contrast. Adjust the volume of the monitor's built-in speakers.

Mirror-Flip
Select multiple orientations to display video on the monitor. Helpful for cameras mounted in alternative orientations.

Side Marker Camera Alternative Mounting Option:
Note: Recommended for owners of AHDS-7812 Side Marker Light Cameras with obstructions preventing standard installation.
- After pairing each camera, open MENU and set each side marker camera view to the FLIP setting for correct orientation if side marker lights are mounted upside down.

Mode Settings
From the Main Menu, select MODE to choose from 14 Split Screen combinations. The selected Split Screen option displays as the 5th camera view when cycling with the CAM button. Select OFF to disable.

Cam-Setup
Toggle which Camera Inputs are active when the CAM button is pressed. Toggle AUTO SCAN to automatically switch to a live camera when no signal is detected. Useful for vehicles with cameras on multiple trailers.

System Settings
Toggle system settings such as Time, Language, and AUTO-DIM. Toggle Parking Lines overlay for camera views. Perform a Factory Reset to restore default settings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will the system record with the screen off?
No, the monitor only records the active video displayed. No data is recorded if there is no live video.
Q: How many hours of recording will I get from a 32GB SD Card?
- 1 Live Camera = 50 hours
- 2 Live Cameras = 25 hours
- 3 Live Cameras = 15 hours
- 4 Live Cameras = 12 Hours
Note: The monitor supports up to a 128GB SD Card.
Q: How do I change what cameras I view on the split screen?
The DVR output shows all four cameras in their native perspective. Menus, unique perspectives, and sound are not recorded. Refer to page 5 for more information.
