5.0 FAQ
For frequently asked questions, please visit: www.munbyn.biz/411bfaq
5.1 Why doesn't my shipping label print correctly?
There are three common situations:
- Incorrect Label Size Configuration: When switching to different label sizes, ensure the printer's settings match the label size. For example, for a 4x6 inch label, select the corresponding size in the printer preferences.
For Windows: Navigate to "Printer preferences" > "Page Setup" > "paper size" and select "4.00"x6.00"(102mm x 152mm)".
For Mac: In the print dialogue, select "Paper Size" and choose "4.00"x6.00" 100 by 150 mm". You can save these settings as a preset for future use.
- Incorrect File Size: If your shipping label file itself is not sized correctly (e.g., not 4x6 inches), you must adjust the label size on the shipping platform or online store where the file was created.
A. Refer to setup tutorials for specific platforms at: munbyn.biz/411platform
B. If your platform doesn't support 4x6 inch files, download the file, open it in Acrobat Reader, crop it according to the tutorial at: munbyn.biz/411arv, and then print.
- Partial Printing Issues: If only a small part of the label (like a barcode or address) is missing, and the file size is correct, try calibrating the paper.
To calibrate:
- Load at least 4 consecutive sheets of paper.
- Press the FEED button twice in a row until you hear two beeps.
- The printer will then learn the paper size.
5.2 How to print small size labels like Munbyn 2 inches round labels?
As per section 5.1, set the print size to 2x2 inches (51x51mm). Adjust the paper slot to fit the label paper and then print. Ensure the label file size matches the physical label size (2x2 inches or 51x51mm) to prevent printing offset.
For Windows: Go to "Printer preferences" > "Page Setup" > "paper size" and select "2.00"x2.00"(50mm x 50mm)".

For Mac: In the print dialogue, select "Paper Size" and choose "2.00"x2.00" 50 by 50 mm". Save these settings as a preset.

5.3 Why is the printed label not clear?
- Print using PDF file format instead of image formats like PNG or JPG.
- If clarity is still an issue, increase the printing density and decrease the printing speed in the settings (refer to section 5.4).
- Regularly clean the print head to remove any carbon buildup (refer to section 5.5).
- Using MUNBYN label paper is recommended for better printing results and compatibility.
5.4 How to adjust the density and speed in the settings?
For Mac:
- In the Mac print preview, select "Layout" > "Printer Features".
- Adjust "Darkness" (Density) and "Print Speed" as needed.
For Windows:
Navigate to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Select 'Munbyn RW411B' > Printing preferences > Page Setup > Density/Speed > Apply.
5.5 How to maintain the print head?
Wipe the print head with a lint-free cloth as shown in the diagram.
5.6 Why does my Mac display the printer status as offline?
- Printer Not Recognized: If the Mac shows "Offline" or the printer is not listed in "Printers & Scanners", it's not recognized. Try unplugging and replugging the USB cables on both the Mac and printer ends. Ensure they are securely connected. Restart both the printer and the Mac.
- Check USB Connection: Use a USB adapter to test if the computer can read data from a flash drive. If it can, the adapter is likely fine. If not, the adapter may need replacement.
- Default Printer Setting: Ensure the Munbyn printer is set as the default printer on your Mac.
- Clear Print Jobs: Delete any pending print jobs that might be stuck in the queue.
- Reinstall Printer Driver: Uninstall the Munbyn printer driver, restart the computer, and then reinstall the driver.
- Reset Printing System: If the issue persists, reset the Mac's printing system. Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Print & Scan. Control-click (or right-click) in the printer list and select "Reset Printing System". Then, add the printer again via the "+" button or "Add Printer or Scanner".
5.7 Why does the indicator light keep flashing red after the device is covered with the lid?
Ensure both sides of the printer cover are securely closed.
