Introduction

The DDLock App is free to download. There's no subscription fee to register our Web management system.

How to Register

Step 1: Download the App

Download the "DDLock" App from Google Play or the App Store. You can scan the QR code provided to download the DDLock App.

Step 2: Get Started

Tap on "Register" to begin the registration process.

Step 3: Complete Registration

Fill out the required information and tap "Get Code". A verification code will be sent to your registered email inbox. Enter the received code and tap "Register" to complete your account setup.

Note: The DDLock App is required to operate the lock. Ensure this step is performed by the lock owner after the lock has been properly installed.

Pairing Your Lock

Step 1: Access Menu

Tap on the menu icon (☰).

Step 2: Add Lock

Tap on "+Add Lock".

Step 3: Proceed

Tap on "Next".

Step 4: Initiate Pairing

Tap on "+".

Note: If the lock is not found in the list, please review the following tips:

  1. Reset your lock and ensure the original master code is 123456.
  2. Verify that Bluetooth is enabled in your phone's settings.
  3. During pairing, wake up the keypad screen by touching it with your palm and keep the screen active.

A QR code is available to watch the pairing video.

Admin Passcode Management

After pairing the lock with DDLock, the admin passcode will be changed to a random 7-digit number. You can view this new admin passcode via the app's guide. You can also change it to your preferred administrator password.

The process involves navigating through Settings, then Basics, and finally selecting Admin Passcode.

Lock Page Overview

The main lock screen provides access to various functions:

  • ? Unlock/Lock: Unlock or lock the smart lock using your phone's Bluetooth connection.
  • ? eKeys: View, modify, set up, and send eKeys to other users.
  • ? Passcodes: Generate six different types of passcodes.
  • ? Records: Check the unlock/lock history.
  • ? Authorized Admin: Create and edit administrator accounts.
  • ⚙️ Settings: View and modify lock settings.
  • ? Cards: Set up and manage access cards.
  • ? Fingerprints Page: Set up fingerprint access. (Note: The RZ06 model does not feature a fingerprint page.)

Note: Some icons may not be visible if the Veise Gateway is not connected. The lock functions optimally with the Veise gateway G2.

App Unlock / Lock

To unlock the lock, tap the lock icon once. To lock the lock, press and hold the icon.

Note: This function is only available when your phone is within Bluetooth range of the smart lock.

Passcodes

Accessing Passcode Menu

To access the passcode menu, tap the "Passcode" icon. This action will navigate you to the passcode management page.

Generating a Passcode

Tap on "Generate Passcode" and then enter a name for the passcode.

Types of Passcodes

TypeDescription
PermanentLasts permanently.
TimedLasts for scheduled hours.
One-timeValid for a single use.
EraseErases all existing codes on the lock.
CustomAllows customization of a code per your specific needs, such as setting it as permanent or timed (e.g., 2638).
RecurringLasts for scheduled hours on a weekly basis.

In the Passcodes section, you can select a passcode to edit its number, validity period, and name. Passcodes can also be deleted, and their usage records can be viewed.

Note: To customize a passcode, your phone must be within 32 feet (Bluetooth range) of the smart lock. Alternatively, you can connect the lock to the Veise gateway G2.

Cards

Adding a Card

Tap on "Cards", then tap on "Add card".

Card Usage

Choose the desired validity period for the card. When the lock prompts "Please swipe your card", place the card against the keypad (indicated by '5'). A long beep confirms the card can be used to unlock the lock.

Note: This feature supports 13.56MHz cards, including mifare, NFC, Desfire, and EV1 card types.

eKeys

Sending eKeys

eKeys enable sharing app access to your lock with other DDLock accounts. Recipients can use their phones to unlock/lock the lock.

Tap on "Send eKey" and enter the recipient's username, which is their registered phone number or email address. eKeys do not require Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for sending or revocation.

Note: It is strongly recommended that the recipient first register an account using the DDLock App.

Fingerprints

The RZ06 model does not have a fingerprint page.

Adding Fingerprints

Tap on "Fingerprints", then tap on "Add Fingerprints", and finally select the desired fingerprint type.

Enrollment Process

Follow the in-app instructions: place your finger on the fingerprint scanner 4 times, varying the angle and applying slightly more pressure each time.

Troubleshooting Fingerprint Issues:

  • Ensure the scanner surface is clean and dry.
  • Try using different fingers.
  • Confirm your finger is clean and dry.
  • As a last resort, remove and reinsert the batteries after a minute.

Authorized Admin

An authorized admin has capabilities similar to eKeys but can also create and edit all access methods (passcodes, fingerprints, eKeys, etc.). eKeys are limited to only unlocking or locking the device.

Authorized admins can:

  • Unlock/lock via the App.
  • Generate, edit, and delete passcodes and IC cards.
  • Adjust settings such as passage mode, auto-lock timer, and toggle lock sound on/off.

To set up an authorized admin, tap on "Authorized Admin" and choose to set a Timed Admin or Permanent Admin.

Note: If an authorized admin has been created or deleted and is not functioning correctly, try refreshing the page by sliding down.

Passage Mode & Auto-Lock

Auto-Lock

When enabled, the lock will automatically lock itself after 5 seconds by default. The Auto Lock timer can be adjusted in the settings.

Passage Mode

When Passage Mode is enabled, the lock remains unlocked until manually locked. Auto-lock is disabled in this mode.

Note: Setting passage mode or auto-lock requires your phone to be within 32 feet (Bluetooth range) of the smart lock. Connection to the Veise gateway G2 is also an option.

Lock Settings

Within the "Basics" section, you can view and modify lock information, such as the Lock Name. The "Gateway" status displays the signal strength if a gateway is connected.

With "Remote Unlock" enabled and a Gateway connected, you can remotely lock or unlock your device. "Lock Sound" allows you to turn the touch keypad sound on or off.

"Import from another lock" facilitates the transfer of passcodes and cards between locks. The "Delete" option removes the lock from your account and clears its settings, requiring your phone to be near the lock.

Records

Important:

  1. When outside of Bluetooth range or without a connected gateway, records for passcode, fingerprint, and card unlocking may not appear promptly. Only eKey unlocking is displayed in real-time.
  2. After successful pairing, click the refresh button and wait a few minutes to view real-time records. Connecting the lock to the Veise gateway G2 will ensure records are pushed in real-time.

Door Lock Web Management System

The web management system allows for comprehensive management of your door lock. This includes sending eKeys, generating user passwords, issuing cards, remotely unlocking/locking (via Wi-Fi gateway), and exporting logs.

Logging In

Register within the DDLock App. Then, log in using your registered username and password.

Remote Unlock/Lock (with G2 Gateway)

A Wi-Fi gateway is required for remote unlocking/locking functionality.

The system allows users to:

  • Send eKeys to family or friends.
  • Send passwords, generating multiple scheduled passwords for other users.
  • Issue cards (with G2 gateway): This includes issuing existing cards, adding new cards via a card reader (sold separately), sharing cards, and deleting cards.
  • Export logs: Options include exporting logs, export deleting logs, and export attendance logs.
  • Check unlock/lock recordings.

Gateway G2

Connecting to the Veise gateway G2 enables the following features:

  • Unlock/Lock remotely within the App.
  • Integration with Google Assistant and Alexa.
  • Remote generation, modification, and deletion of all password types.
  • Web portal management for remote functions.
  • Pushing real-time messages and viewing real-time records.
  • Viewing smart lock status.
  • Checking battery level remotely.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q1: Why can't I use the master code 123456# to unlock after pairing with the App?

A1: After successful pairing, the master code is changed to a random 7-digit number. You can set your own master code via the App (Settings > Basics > Admin passcode).

Q2: Why am I unable to check the latest records in the App?

A2: If your phone is out of Bluetooth range or the Veise gateway G2 is not connected, records for passcode, fingerprint, and card unlocking may not appear promptly. Only eKey unlocking is shown in real-time. Ensure your phone is connected via Bluetooth or to the Veise gateway G2, then navigate to Records, tap the refresh icon (top right corner), and refresh the records.

Q3: How to share one account with others?

A3: To share an account, create authorized admins. Recipients designated as "authorized admins" must download the DDLock App and register their own usernames and passwords.

Q4: How to edit, delete, or create custom codes remotely?

A4: Passcodes can be generated remotely without a gateway. However, editing, deleting, or creating custom passcodes requires either the Veise gateway G2 or being within Bluetooth range of the lock.

Q5: Why is a deleted code still working?

A5: This might be due to a display error in the App. To resolve this, go to "Settings" > "Upload Data" and tap "Start" to upload the lock's data.
