A3161 Soundcore Flare Firmware Update Instructions

Step 1: Download the update tool and product firmware.

A) Download the update tool from the Soundcore website, unzip it, then double-click "setup.exe" and follow the default installation instructions.
B) Download the firmware (for Soundcore Flare), unzip it, and save it to the desktop.

Step 2: Launch the update tool.

Double-click the "Anker" icon on your desktop to launch the Software Upgrade utility.

Step 3: Connect the Soundcore Flare.

A) Plug the USB charging cable into your computer.
B) Turn off the Soundcore Flare.
C) Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker.
D) While holding the Bluetooth button, connect the USB charging cable to your Soundcore Flare.
E) When the update tool interface displays "Connected" (indicated by a checkmark ✔️ and the text 'USB CARDREADER'), release the Bluetooth button and click "Next Step."

Step 4: Select the firmware file.

Click the "Choose" button and select the firmware file (e.g., "A3161_Soundcore Flare V2.50-201811.FW"), then click "Next Step."

Step 5: Complete the firmware upgrade.

The utility will now display the upgrade progress. A message "Do not disconnect while upgrade is in progress." will be shown.

When the progress bar is full, the upgrade is successful. The Soundcore Flare will turn on automatically in a few seconds.

Notes

Do not unplug the USB charging cable or press any buttons on the speaker while the upgrade is in progress.
If the speaker appears stuck during the upgrade process, hold down the power button for 10 seconds.
