Assembly
Step 1: Mount Handlebar
- Place the e-bike on a stable surface. TIP: It is recommended not to attach the kickstand yet.
- Turn the stem until it is perpendicular to the fork crown. Then tighten the headset cap screw and the two stem clamp screws. TIP: If the stem is difficult to turn, loosen the three screws.
- Cover the cap screw.
- Remove the handlebar clamp cover after removing the four cover screws.
- Insert the handlebar into the clamp, place the cover plate over the front of the handlebar, and tighten the screws in a cross pattern. NOTE: Ensure that the cross marking on the handlebar is centered in the handlebar clamp cover.
- Ensure that the cover plate screws are tightened evenly, meaning the gaps between the stem and the cover plate should be even at the top and bottom.
- After mounting the handlebar, adjust the shift lever and brake lever to the desired angle and tighten the screws.
Step 2: Mount Reflector
- Remove the screw of the reflector clamp and clamp the reflector onto the handlebar.
- Tighten the clamp screw. NOTE: The reflector must point straight forward so that it reflects the light of oncoming vehicles and warns them.
Step 3: Mount Headlight and Fender
Remove the screw from the fork crown. Then, sequentially insert the screw through the mounting holes of the headlight and the front fender, and then tighten it completely onto the fork crown.
Step 4: Mount Front Wheel
- Remove the fork guard after loosening the nuts. NOTE: Keep the fork guard for later use. The guard protects the fork dropouts from deformation during transport when the wheel is removed.
- Place the front fork onto the front wheel.
- Remove the cone nut and the cup spring from the quick release skewer and insert the quick release skewer through the front wheel hub.
- Reinsert the cone spring, tighten the cap nut, and close the quick release lever (perpendicular to the fork dropout, not behind it).
WARNING:
- To ensure a secure fit of the wheel, the cap nut must be tightened until the quick release lever can be closed with resistance in the semi-closed state.
- The brake disc should be centered between the brake pads after mounting the front wheel.
Step 5: Mount Saddle, Rear Light, and Fender
- Remove the screws of the rear light and rear fender clamps.
- Insert the seat post sequentially into the clamps of the rear light and fender.
- Open the seat post clamp lever, insert the seat post into the seat tube, and tighten the seat post clamp firmly.
- Adjust the rear light and rear fender to the desired height and angle, and tighten the screws firmly. NOTE: Before the first ride, remove the battery insulation film from the rear light.
WARNING:
For your safety, the seat post clamp must be tightened firmly. (If the seat post still slides down with the seat post clamp lever fully closed, turn the knob clockwise while holding the lever, before closing it.)
Step 6: Mount Pedals
Turn the pedal axles (according to the arrow markings on the pedals) onto the crank arms and then tighten them with a suitable open-end wrench.
Step 7: Cover Rear Axle Nut
Cover the rear axle nut on the left side to prevent rust.
Step 8: Fully Charge Battery
Fully charge the battery before every ride.
Step 9: Check Tire Pressure
Check the tire after assembling the e-bike and before each ride. If it feels soft or spongy, inflate it to the correct pressure.
