Product Overview

The ATEN KL1516AiN is a 16-port, dual-rail LCD KVM over IP switch designed for efficient server room management. It allows a single console (keyboard, monitor, mouse) to control up to 16 computers. The unit features a built-in 48cm (19-inch) TFT LCD screen, a full keyboard, and a touchpad, all housed within a 1U rack-mountable chassis for 19-inch racks.

The LCD monitor and keyboard/touchpad module can be independently extended from the rack. The keyboard/touchpad can be retracted while the slim LCD screen remains extended and flush with the rack for convenient monitoring, optimizing space in data centers.

The KL1516Ai enables local and remote SysOps to monitor and control multiple computers over an IP network using TCP/IP. It can be accessed from any computer on the LAN, WAN, or Internet, regardless of physical location.

Compact, densely arranged RJ-45 ports for Cat 5e/6 cabling ensure space-saving and efficient cable management. KVM adapter cables support connections for diverse computer types, including PCs, Macs, Sun systems, and serial devices.

Rear ports provide connections for an external keyboard, mouse, and monitor for local console control. An external USB mouse port is also available on the keyboard module.

The device is equipped with advanced features such as Panel Array Mode™ for simultaneous viewing of up to 16 computer screens and a Message Board for real-time communication among logged-in users.
