Overview

The ATEN KL1508AiN is an 8-port, dual-rail LCD KVM over IP Switch. It enables control of up to 8 computers from a single console (keyboard, monitor, mouse). The unit features an integrated 48cm LCD screen, a full keyboard, and a touchpad, housed in a 1U rack-mountable chassis for 19-inch racks. The LCD monitor and keyboard/touchpad module can be independently extended or retracted, allowing for flexible space management in data centers.

The KL1508Ai allows local and remote sysops to monitor and control multiple computers over an IP network using TCP/IP. It can be accessed from any computer on a LAN, WAN, or the internet, regardless of its physical location.

Compact, densely placed RJ-45 ports for Cat 5e/6 network cables ensure space-saving and efficient cabling. KVM adapter cables with automatic signal conversion connect various computer types, including PCs, Macs, Suns, and serial devices.

The device also includes rear ports for an external keyboard, mouse, and monitor, enabling local console operation. An external USB mouse port is available on the keyboard module.
