Important Safety Information
- Read all safety information before using the device.
- Using unapproved power adapters, charging cables, or batteries may cause fire, explosion, electric shock, or other hazards, or may cause damage to the device.
- The operating temperature range for this device is 0–40° C. Using the device in environments outside this temperature range may cause damage to the device.
- If the device comes with a built-in battery, do not attempt to replace the battery yourself to avoid damaging the battery or the device.
- Charge the device only with the supplied or an approved adapter and cable. Use only approved accessories compatible with your device.
- Disconnect the adapter from both the device and the power supply after charging is complete. Do not charge the device for more than 12 hours.
- The battery must be disposed of and recycled separately from household waste. Improper handling of the battery may cause fire or explosion. Dispose of or recycle the device, its battery, and accessories in accordance with local regulations.
- Do not disassemble, strike, crush, or incinerate the battery. If the battery appears deformed or damaged, stop using it immediately.
- Do not short-circuit the battery, as this may cause overheating, burns, or other injuries.
- Do not place the battery in a high-temperature environment. Overheating may cause an explosion.
- Do not disassemble, strike, or crush the battery, as it may leak, overheat, or explode.
- Do not incinerate the battery, as this may cause a fire or explosion.
- The battery cannot be removed or replaced by the user. Battery removal and repair should only be performed by authorized repair centers.
- Keep the device dry.
- Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. If any part of the device is not functioning properly, please contact Mi customer support or deliver the device to an authorized repair center.
- Connect other devices according to their user manuals. Do not connect incompatible devices to this device.
- When using AC/DC adapters, the socket-outlet shall be close to the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
Safety Precautions
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations restricting the use of mobile phones in specific situations and locations.
- Do not use the phone at gas stations, in any explosive atmosphere, or in any potentially explosive area, including areas below decks on boats, fuel or chemical storage facilities, or areas where the air may contain chemicals or particles such as grain, dust, or metal powder. Obey all posted signs that instruct to turn off wireless devices such as phones or other radio equipment. Turn off the mobile phone or wireless device when in a blasting area or in areas requiring the disconnection of two-way radios or electronic devices to prevent potential hazards.
- Do not use the phone in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or intensive care units of hospitals. Always follow the rules and regulations of hospitals and health care facilities. If you use a medical device, consult your doctor and the device manufacturer to determine whether your phone may interfere with the medical device. To avoid potential interference with a pacemaker, maintain a minimum distance of 15 cm between the mobile phone and the pacemaker. You can achieve this by using the phone on the opposite ear from the pacemaker and not carrying the phone in a breast pocket. To avoid interference with medical equipment, do not use the phone near hearing aids, cochlear implants, or similar devices.
- Comply with all aircraft safety regulations and turn off your phone on board an aircraft when required.
- When driving a vehicle, use the phone in accordance with traffic laws and regulations.
- To avoid lightning strikes, do not use the phone outdoors during a thunderstorm.
- Do not make calls while the phone is charging.
- Do not use the phone in high humidity environments, such as bathrooms. Doing so may result in electric shock, personal injury, fire, or damage to the charger.
Safety Notice
Update your phone’s operating system using the built-in software update feature or by visiting any authorized service center. Updating the software through other means may damage the device, result in data loss, or pose other security risks.
