II. How to connect the controller to Wi-Fi network?

  1. Register/Login your Surplife account.

The app's initial screen presents 'Sign Up' and 'Log In' options. The 'Sign Up' screen prompts for email and verification code. Existing users can log in using their email and password, after agreeing to terms.

  2. Prepare the device.

Open your phone's Bluetooth and turn on the controller device.

III. Adding and Configuring the Device

  1. Add Device

In the 'Surplife' app, tap the 'Add Device' button or the '+' icon. The app will scan for nearby devices. Detected devices, such as 'DeviceB9C1 (BLE)', will be listed. Tap 'Add' to select and add the device.

  2. Rename and Assign Room

After adding, a 'New device added!' confirmation appears. You can then rename the device and assign it to a room (e.g., 'Living room', 'Master bedroom'). Tap 'Finish' to complete the setup.

IV. App Features in Detail

1. Colorful Function

In the color interface, adjust the color and brightness of the light strip. Click the '+' icon to enter the static effect interface. Here, you can add or delete colors for the light strip. Long-press a static effect to delete or edit it.

The interface includes a color wheel, a brightness slider, and a palette of pre-set colors. Options to add more colors are available.

2. Lighting Effect

Choose from built-in lighting effects across various scene modes. Long-press effects to save or edit them, or add custom effects by clicking 'Create Custom Effect' in the Custom Effect screen.

Categories include 'Christmas Lights', 'Wreath', 'Coffee', 'Game', 'Sports', 'Holiday', 'Fence', 'Trees', 'Party', 'Trend', 'Dating', 'Album', and 'String Lights/Roof Lights'.

Custom effects can be created by drawing on a canvas, selecting colors, adjusting speed, and saving the sequence. Options like 'Color Card', 'Slider', and 'Recent' colors are provided.

3. Rotation Function

Select lighting effects for different modes on a rotating screen and set their duration. Multiple lighting effects can be combined and played back sequentially.

The interface displays effects and allows setting durations for sequences like 'Trend' and 'Party' within a 'Carousel list'.

4. Spreading Function

  • Single-frame Smear Interface:

Click 'Create Smear', then select a dynamic effect, color, and color ratio. Click 'Save' after setting.

Features include 'Animation' type, 'Speed' adjustment, 'Color' selection, 'Color Scale', and 'Holiday colors'.

  • Multi-frame Paint Interface:

Click to create a paint effect. Use the slider to adjust speed. Click '+' to add frames to the canvas and select colors for each frame. Click 'Save' when settings are complete.

This allows creating animated sequences by defining colors for individual frames.

5. Rhythmic Function

  • Music Mode:

Lighting effects synchronize with the rhythm of music. Click 'Add Sound' to import a sound file or use the built-in sound library.

Options include importing from local files, PC, internal music library, or using audio recording.

  • Microphones:

Utilize the phone or device microphone to convert light effects to different rhythms based on received sound signals.

The 'Activate Microphone' feature allows lights to react to ambient sound, with adjustable sensitivity.

6. Timing Function

Schedule lights to switch on and off at set times. When lights turn on, you can select desired lighting effects, such as colorful or moody options.

The 'Add Schedule' interface allows setting specific times and selecting actions like 'On' or 'Off' with chosen effects.

7. Group Control Function

Organize multiple controllers into groups for simultaneous control. This enables one-key dimming, color dimming, switching, and other functions for all devices in the group.

Users can select multiple devices (e.g., 'Device6CBF', 'DeviceEBFO', 'Device6E6B', 'Device234D') and assign them to a group for synchronized operation.

8. Scene Functions

Create custom scene lighting colors or dynamic effects based on personal preferences. Navigate to the scene interface, select the corresponding controller, and choose effects.
