1. Mortise Lock Handing Instructions
- Move red locking screw to side of lockbody being locked.

NOTE: Push in latch until catch plate is no longer depressed.

2. M, N and P Escutcheon Installation

- Insert mortise lock into door and hand tighten longer 1" mounting screws.Textual description of Figure 7: Shows the mortise lock body being inserted into the edge of a door.
NOTE: Make sure lock is unlocked. If lock has a toggle, push bottom of toggle inward to unlock during installation.
- Install outside and inside adapter plates.Textual description of Figure 8: Depicts the outside and inside adapter plates being attached to the door surface.
- Mount escutcheons.Textual description of Figure 9: Shows the escutcheon plates being mounted onto the adapter plates.
NOTE: Make sure turn-piece is oriented vertically when installing escutcheon.
- Install outside lever or knob by inserting adjustment bolt on opposite side of door. NOTE: Use correct spindle orientation.

NOTE: Make sure adjustment bolt hole is aligned with lever or knob hole.
- Install cylinder. Secure with cylinder set screw.Textual description of Figure 14: Shows the cylinder being installed into the lock body.
NOTE:
- Pull key slightly out of cylinder to help thread into lockbody.

- Tighten lock mounting screws.

3. Half Active M, N and P Escutcheon Installation

6. Installing Knobs Sold Before October 2017 ONLY:
Before inserting knob lockbody into door, push spacer out of lock using a screwdriver.
NOTE: Install spindles in square orientation.
