1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Dear customer, thank you for choosing our product. In the following, we will show you how to use this device. Should you encounter any unexpected problems during use, please do not hesitate to contact us.
2. SPECIFICATION
This LCR meter offers a wide range of functions at a low price. The LCR meter can measure capacitance, resistance, and inductance among other things. In addition, it can automatically recognize components, for example, it can distinguish between different types of transistors, such as NPN or PNP transistors. The device is particularly easy to operate, as all measurements are started at the touch of a single button.
Thanks to the integrated 350 mAh battery, measurements can also be carried out on the road. The battery is charged with the help of a 5V power supply unit (available separately) and the enclosed micro-USB cable. In addition, this measuring device can decode infrared signals and show them as a waveform on the display.

3. STRUCTURE
The device features a display, slots for measuring components, and an infrared decoder.
- Display: Shows measurement results and device status.
- Slots for measuring: Used for connecting components for measurement (slots 1, 2, 3).
- Slots for measuring the breakdown voltage: Specifically for measuring breakdown voltage (channels K and A).
- Infrared decoder: Receives and decodes infrared signals.
- Button: Initiates measurements and other functions.
- microUSB port: For charging the device.
- Charging status LED: Indicates the charging status of the battery (red for charging, green for fully charged).
4. INITIAL OPERATION
When starting the measuring device for the first time, perform a self-test. Short-circuit slots 1, 2, and 3. Then press the 'Start' button. The device may prompt you to remove the component at approximately 22% to complete the self-test successfully. After the self-test, you can begin measuring components by pressing the 'Start' button.
The device has a 3.7 V, 350 mAh battery that can be charged via microUSB and a 5V power supply. The LED indicator shows the battery status: red when charging, green when fully charged.
The battery voltage is also measured during each component measurement and displayed as Vbat = ...V.
The device will notify you when the battery needs charging, displaying "Charge the battery! [Vbat = 2.90V]".
The device automatically switches off after 20 seconds of inactivity. It can also be turned off manually by pressing and holding the 'Start' button.
5. MEASURING COMPONENTS
This instrument can detect and measure various components including diodes, Z-diodes, double diodes, resistors, capacitors, inductors, thyristors, triacs, field effect transistors, bipolar transistors, and batteries. The following sections detail how to measure specific components and the values that can be obtained.
To measure a component, use slots 1-3. Ensure that you do not connect two cables to the same channel (digit). Select any slot at 1, 2, and 3 for three connections.
For measuring breakdown voltage, use channels K and A. Connect the positive pin to K and the negative pin to A. Refer to the Z-Diode section for more information.
Components can be plugged directly into the device's terminals or connected using the provided cable clamps.
After connecting a component, press the lever and start the measurement with the 'Start' button. The display will show "Testing... [Vbat = 3.64V]".
If no component or a defective component is connected, or if the component is connected incorrectly, the screen will display "No, unknown, or damaged part".
Component Measurement Details:
- Diode: Measures Uf (forward voltage), C (capacity), Ir (leakage current).
- Z-Diode: Measures Uz (reverse breakdown voltage / Z-voltage). Connect the positive line to K and the negative line to A. Up to 30 V can be measured in reverse voltage.
- Double diode: Measures Uf (forward voltage).
- Resistor: Displays resistance in Ω.
- Capacitor: Displays capacity. Also shows Vloss (Loss factor) and ESR (equivalent series resistance). Attention! Capacitors must always be discharged before testing to prevent damage to the tester.
- Inductor: Displays inductance and R (resistance).
- Thyristor: Measures Uf (forward voltage).
- Triac: Measures Uf (forward voltage).
- Field effect transistor: Measures Vt (threshold voltage), Cg (gate capacity), Rds (drain source resistance), Uf (forward voltage), @Vg (gate voltage). The tester can distinguish between N-E-MOS, P-E-MOS, N-MOS, P-MOS, N-JFET, P-JFET, N-IGBT, and P-IGBT.
- Bipolar transistor: Measures hFE (current amplification factor), Ube (base voltage), Ic (collector current), Uf (forward voltage). The tester can distinguish between BJT-NPN, BJT-NPN with diode, BJT-PNP, and BJT-PNP with diode.
- Batteries: Displays battery voltage. Attention! The battery must have less than 4.5 V, otherwise the multifunction tester may be damaged!
- Infrared-Decoder: Located next to the start button. Activate your infrared remote control in front of the device to decode signals. The UserCode and DataCode are shown on the screen in hexadecimal format. The dot in the top right corner indicates infrared data reception: red means data is being received, blue means decoding is successful. Only the NEC protocol is supported.
6. EXAMPLE COMPONENTS
A capacitor and an LED are included in the scope of delivery to help you get familiar with the instrument through initial measurements.
