User Manual
1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Lexin LX-B4FM 4-Way Motorcycle Conference Bluetooth Intercom. This product offers a maximum bidirectional simultaneous bike-to-bike intercom transmission range of 1600 meters, includes wireless stereo Bluetooth headphones, and is designed for installation in most open-face, modular, and full-face helmets.
With the LX-B4FM, you can enjoy hands-free Bluetooth mobile phone calls, listen to stereo music, or receive GPS navigation voice instructions. It also enables wireless intercom conversations for rider-to-rider or rider-to-passenger communication within a 1600-meter range when up to four units are connected.
The LX-B4FM is compatible with Bluetooth v3.0 specifications and supports the following profiles: Headset Profile (HSP), Hands-Free Profile (HFP), and Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). It supports universal pairing with most Bluetooth headsets on the market. Users can activate Siri or S-Voice on the main unit for voice dialing and other voice commands. An FM radio tuner is built into the main unit for station searching.
The high-fidelity, non-transmissive, ultra-slim helmet speakers provide superior audio fidelity. The headset also offers excellent ambient noise and wind noise reduction with its miniature boom microphone.
The main unit is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion/polymer battery, providing 10-15 hours of active use on a full charge. Standby time is over a week. Please read this User Manual carefully before using this product.
Intercom Modes:
- Rider-to-Rider Intercom (Simultaneous Bidirectional Transmission)

3. Installation Instructions
3.1 Mounting the Unit

3M Adhesive Mount: If the clip mount is problematic, use the 3M adhesive mount. Peel off the protective backing and attach the mount to the helmet. 3.2 Installing the Microphone
Full-Face Helmets: Find a location on the left side of the nose area. Attach the button microphone to the Velcro cushion and connect it to the earphone connector.
Open-Face Helmets: Adjust the microphone direction so the triangular mark faces the user's mouth.
3.3 Installing the Speakers
Position the speakers in the cheek pads. Securely push the speakers and microphone against the Velcro cushions.
3.4 Cable Management
Tuck the wires into the gap between the helmet lining and the shell.
Note: The speaker with the shorter wire is for the left ear, and the speaker with the longer wire is for the right ear, which also improves FM radio reception.
3.5 Attaching the Main Unit
Slide the LX-B4FM main unit onto the mount until it is securely seated at the bottom of the mount.
3.6 Detaching the Main Unit
To detach the main unit, simply lift it off the mount.

The LX-B4FM can be paired with up to four other LX-B4FM units for simultaneous bidirectional Bluetooth intercom conversations. Each scenario (two, three, or four intercoms) has a different pairing process. When more than two units are connected, there will be a 'Bridge Unit' and 'Terminal Units'. To maximize range, riders should remain in the same order as the units were connected.
Note: Before pairing units for communication, it is recommended to clear existing connections on the unit. To do this, press and hold the Volume+ and Volume- buttons together until the red LED flashes, clearing all previous connections.

4.2 Click the INTERCOM button on Unit 1 or Unit 2 to disconnect the two units.
4.3 Click the INTERCOM button on Unit 4 or Unit 3 to disconnect the two units.
Suggestions: To connect bridge units, double-click the INTERCOM button. To connect a bridge unit to a terminal unit, press the INTERCOM button once on the terminal units.
Note:
- A beep will sound when an intercom conversation starts. It may take a few seconds for the other unit to connect. Wait until both units are connected before speaking.
- If bridge units 2 and 3 disconnect, the entire group will disconnect.
- If terminal unit 1 or 4 disconnects, the other three remain connected.
- If a unit loses connection with another, the two units on the same channel remain connected. Follow the connection instructions above to reconnect the disconnected unit when it comes back within intercom range.
- If a rider is out of range during a conversation, there may be mute movement, and the intercom will eventually disconnect. In this case, the LX-B4FM will attempt to automatically reconnect the rider every eight seconds, indicated by two high beeps, until the connection is re-established. To stop the attempt, press the INTERCOM button.
- To ensure successful communication for four riders, it is recommended to connect the two bridge units (red indicator) first using the INTERCOM and Volume- buttons, then connect them to the paired terminal units (blue indicator) using the INTERCOM and Volume+ buttons. Since Unit 2 and Unit 3 act as the "bridge" in the chain, keep them within the expected intercom range for continuous communication.
Suggestions: To save battery power, disconnect the intercom units when not in use.
Important: A Bridge Unit cannot be connected to a Bluetooth device (phone or GPS) while functioning as an Intercom Bridge Unit.
5.4 Universal Pairing:
To pair with other brands of intercom headsets, the pairing operation is the same as bidirectional intercom pairing. However, initiating an intercom conversation with other brands' headsets requires simultaneously pressing the Volume+ and Volume- buttons on your unit. To end the intercom, simply press the POWER button.
5.5 Stereo Music and FM Radio
You can listen to stereo music via Bluetooth or FM radio.
- Wireless Stereo Bluetooth: The Bluetooth audio device must be paired with the LX-B4FM following the Bluetooth Audio Device Pairing instructions in the previous section. The LX-B4FM supports A2DP, allowing remote control of music playback if the Bluetooth audio device also supports A2DP. Volume control and play/pause functions will work.
- Radio FM: Press and hold the Volume- button for two seconds to access FM radio mode. Double-click the Volume+ or Volume- button to scan for desired stations.
5.6 Function Priority
The LX-B4FM operates with the following function priority:
- Mobile Phone (Highest Priority)
- Intercom
- Stereo Music, FM Radio (Lowest Priority)
A lower priority function will always be interrupted by a higher priority function. For example, stereo music will be interrupted by an intercom call, and an intercom conversation will be interrupted by an incoming call.
5.7 Reset
To clear previous pairings, press and hold the Volume+ and Volume- buttons simultaneously until the LED flashes red.
5.8 Battery Level Reminder
You can check the current battery level by pressing and holding the Volume+ button. A voice will announce the charge level. When the battery level is below 20%, an alarm will sound every 5 minutes.
