In case of unexpected power failure, food inside can remain cool for several hours. During the power failure, minimize door openings as cool air escapes. Do not add fresh food during a power failure.
Longtime Non-Use
If the appliance will not be used for an extended period, disconnect from power, clean the interior, and leave doors ajar to prevent odors.
Moving the Appliance
- Before moving, remove all objects from inside and secure glass shelves, drawers, etc., with tape.
- Tighten leveling feet, close all doors, and secure them with tape.
- Use at least one helper during transport. Do not lay the refrigerator upside down or horizontally, or allow it to vibrate during transport, as this can damage the sealed cooling system.
- When moving with a hand truck, do not tilt the unit more than 45°, as this may disrupt the sealed cooling system.
- WARNING: After moving, re-connect to power and let it run continuously. Generally, operation should not be interrupted; otherwise, service life may be impaired.
Troubleshooting
POSSIBLE FAULT | POSSIBLE FAULT/SOLUTION |
---|---|
Failed operation | Check power connection and plug. Check voltage. Check for power failure or tripped circuits. |
Odor | Wrap odorous food tightly. Check for spoiled food. Clean the inside of the refrigerator. |
The compressor operates for a long time | Long operation is normal in summer with high ambient temperatures. Do not overfill. Cool food before storing. Minimize door openings. Clean the condenser. |
Light doesn't turn on | Check power supply connection and bulb. |
Doors cannot be properly closed | Check for obstructions. Ensure the refrigerator is tilted correctly and level. |
Loud noises | Check floor level and stability. Ensure accessories are properly placed. Remove foreign matters on the door seal. |
Door seal is not tight | Heat the door seal and cool it for restoration (or use an electrical dryer or hot towel). |
Water pan overflows | Do not overfill the chamber or store food with high water content, which causes heavy defrosting. Ensure doors close properly to prevent frosting due to air entry and increased defrosting water. |
Surface condensation | Condensation on exterior surfaces and door seals is normal in high humidity. Wipe with a clean towel. |
Abnormal noises | Compressor buzzes during operation, especially at start/stop, is normal. |
Hot housing | Heat dissipation of the built-in condenser via the housing is normal. Provide ventilation for heat dissipation, especially with high ambient temperatures or much food storage. Hot housing can also be caused by frequent cooling cycles, which is normal. After installing the water line, it may take 12 hours to start producing ice. |
Ice makers do not make ice | Turn on ice making functions. Check water pressure (40-100 psig / 0.28-0.69 MPa) and water line connection. Ensure water supply valve is open and water pipe is not bent. |
No ice is dispensed in the refrigerator | Check for ice in the ice bucket. Check if ice has melted and stuck together. If not used for a long time, empty the ice bucket and turn off the ice maker. Check water line connection, supply valve, and pipe condition. The ice dispenser only operates when the refrigerator door is closed. Ensure the ice bucket is properly installed. |
Ice makers not making enough ice | Low water pressure can result in slower ice-making speeds. Consult a professional regarding recommended psi limits for optimal ice-making conditions. |
No water is coming out of the water dispenser | Check water line connection, supply valve, and pipe condition (bent or creased). The filter or water filter bypass plug must be installed before water can be discharged. |
There is low flow coming from the water dispenser | Check water pressure (40-100 psig / 0.28-0.69 MPa). Replace the water filter following Installation Manual instructions. If the issue persists, contact ZLINE Customer Service at 1-614-777-5004. |
The water tastes bad | Check the water filter. Replace the water filter as described in the Installation Manual. If the new filter does not correct the issue, contact ZLINE Customer Service at 1-614-777-5004. |
