Oliveri Essente Stainless Steel Goose Neck Mixer
Models: SS31620 / SS31620-AU / SS31620-BL / SS31620-GM
Technical Data
Specifications
- Maximum Operating Pressure: 5 bar (500kPa)
- Recommended Operation Pressure: 1.5-5 bar (150-500kPa)
- Max Hot Water Temperature: 65°C
- Recommended Hot Water Temperature: 50°C
Important Notes
Where water pressure exceeds 500kPa, a pressure reducing device is required. Water pressure overnight can reach 150% of the daytime pressure.
Note on Aerators: Installation of aerators containing flow regulators. Upon re-installation, tighten with an aerator key to prevent manual removal.
Note on Ceramic Cartridges: Warranty claims are void if the ceramic cartridge malfunctions due to: Copper tube pieces, sand, dirt, stones, thread tape, or other objects not normally present in potable water supplies. Do not remove the cartridge; it is pressure tested and tightened to a specific torque.
⚠️ Safety Precaution: Before any work on mains water supply lines, ensure the water supply is shut off.
Stop valves (preferably with filters) must be used for isolation. Failure to do so may void warranty.
This mixer tap is pre-assembled and tested. Do not disassemble, as this may void the warranty.
Installation must be in accordance with these instructions.
Installation Instructions
General Note
This product must be installed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local regulations, AS/NZS 3500, and local plumbing codes.
Pressures & Temperatures
Maximum Hydrostatic Pressure: 500kPa (As per AS/NZS 3500). Pressures above 500kPa can cause damage (water hammer, reduced appliance life, noise). Minimum Hydrostatic Pressure: 100kPa.
This product may not be suitable for low pressure/gravity feed water supplies or some continuous flow/instantaneous hot water systems.
Maximum operating temperature: 65°C. Recommended maximum delivery temperature: 50°C.
Pre-Installation
Ensure water lines are flushed prior to installation to prevent contaminants from damaging the ceramic cartridge, flow regulator, or affecting mixer performance.
Handle Position: The mixer is designed with the handle on the right for the cold inlet to be at the front. This helps prevent accidental scalding if a child pulls the handle forward. Installing the handle centrally is not recommended as it places the cold on the left.
Installation Steps
- Remove product from packaging and check for damages. Do not install if damaged; return to store of purchase.
- The WELS compliant aerator is pre-assembled. It must remain in place to comply with WELS regulations.
- Ensure the product is complete as per the exploded drawing.
- A single 35mm hole is required in the mounting surface.
- Maximum mounting surface thickness: 37mm.
- Ensure bench sealing washer (A) is in place on the base of the mixer.
- Screw the mixer tails (B) into the base of the mixer, being careful to avoid damage to the O-ring seals. Inlet ports are colour-coded: red for hot, blue for cold. Hand tighten only.
- Feed the mixer tails through the mounting surface, positioning the mixer correctly with the sealing washer (A) in place.
- Feed mixer tails through the stabiliser plate (C).
- Slide rubber washer (D) onto the mixer thread, followed by metal washer (E).
- Using the fixing nut (F), tighten the mixer to the mounting surface. Lock the fixing nut in place with screws (G).
- Connect mixer tails to the mains water 1/2" stop cock. Tighten to 10Nm. Do NOT overtighten.
- Ensure mixer tails are not kinked, bent, stretched, or twisted. The connection must have a natural curve (minimum bend radius 30 mm).
- Ensure mixer tails are installed indoors, above-ground, and remain accessible. Do not bury, submerge, install behind walls, floors, or ceilings. Avoid exposure to abrasions or corrosive agents. Test for leaks; retighten slightly if a leak occurs.
- It is recommended that in-line filters be installed for a cleaner water flow.
Diagram Description: Exploded View
The mixer tap components are shown in an exploded view for installation reference:
- A: Bench sealing washer - Provides a seal between the mixer base and the mounting surface.
- B: Mixer tails - Flexible hoses connecting the mixer to the hot and cold water supply. Inlet ports are colour-coded (red for hot, blue for cold).
- C: Stabiliser plate - A component used to help secure the mixer during installation.
- D: Rubber washer - Part of the mounting hardware.
- E: Metal washer - Part of the mounting hardware.
- F: Fixing nut - Secures the mixer to the mounting surface.
- G: Screws - Used to lock the fixing nut in place.
- Max 37: Indicates the maximum mounting surface thickness in millimeters.
