Product Description

The BEGA Performance Floodlight RGBW is a powerful luminaire designed for additive colour mixing (RGBW) with a mounting box. It is recommended for use with BEGA DALI system components.

Installation and Maintenance

Safety Precautions:

• Installation and operation must comply with national safety regulations.
• Installation and commissioning must be performed by a qualified electrician.
• The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper use or installation.
• Any subsequent modifications make the modifying party the manufacturer.

Overvoltage Protection:

• Electronic components are protected against overvoltage per DIN EN 61547.
• For additional protection against transients, separate overvoltage protection components are recommended (available at www.bega.com).

Installation Steps:

1. Undo the hexagon socket head screw (SW 3) and disassemble the mounting plate.
2. Pass the power connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate. Ensure the mounting plate is oriented with the "arrow down".
3. Fix the mounting plate to the mounting surface using the supplied or other suitable fixing material. Use the supplied gasket rings.
4. Connect the earth conductor to the terminal marked with [earth symbol] on the mounting plate.
5. Make the electrical connection at the terminal marked L and N (plug-in device).
6. For digital control, use the terminals marked DA, DA (plug-in device). If these are not used, the luminaire operates at full light output.
7. Connect the earth conductor plug from the luminaire housing to the mounting plate.
8. Firmly press both plugs (L, N and DA, DA) into the plug-in devices of the mounting plate.
9. Ensure the gasket is correctly positioned.
10. Place the floodlight unit onto the mounting plate as shown in the sketch, align, and screw together firmly.
11. Adjustment of beam direction: Undo the joint screw (hexagon socket head wrench size 6 mm), set the desired beam direction, and tighten the screw. Torque = 12 Nm.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Clean the luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers to remove dirt and deposits.
• Do not use high-pressure cleaners.

Important Notes:

• Do not remove the desiccant bag from the luminaire housing; it absorbs residual moisture.
• Replacing the LED module: The LED module designation is on a label inside the luminaire. BEGA replacement modules match the original in light colour and output. Replacement can be done by qualified persons using standard tools. Disconnect power before opening the luminaire. Follow the LED module installation instructions. Inspect and replace luminaire gaskets if necessary. Replace defective glass. Close the luminaire. Tighten grub screws (SW 3) evenly. Torque = 2.5 Nm.
