KALLAX Door Insert Assembly Instructions

This document provides assembly instructions for the KALLAX door insert by IKEA.

Assembly Steps

Step 1: Prepare the KALLAX unit. Ensure all parts are present and undamaged. Follow the visual guide for initial assembly of the main unit structure.

Step 2: Attach the hinge plates to the door. Use the provided screws (100344) and dowels (100344) as shown in the diagram. Ensure correct orientation.

Step 3: Mount the hinges to the KALLAX unit. Align the hinges with the pre-drilled holes and secure them using the appropriate screws.

Step 4: Attach the door to the unit. Carefully connect the hinges on the door to the hinge plates on the unit. Adjust as needed for proper alignment.

Step 5: Insert the door. Slide the door into place, ensuring the hinges engage correctly with the mounting plates.

Step 6: Secure the door. Use screws (109221) to attach the hinges to the door. Ensure the door opens and closes smoothly. There are adjustment screws on the hinges to fine-tune the door's position.

Step 7: Final adjustments. Check the door alignment and make any necessary adjustments using the screws on the hinges.

Step 8: Attach the handle. If a handle is included, attach it to the door using the provided screws.

Step 9: Complete assembly. Ensure all screws are tightened and the unit is stable.

Step 10: Insert the door into the unit. Align the hinges on the door with the corresponding mounting plates on the KALLAX frame. Secure the hinges using screws (100412) and dowels (106266).

Step 11: Final check. Ensure the door is properly aligned and operates smoothly. Use the adjustment screws on the hinges to fine-tune the door's position if necessary.
