The One Control STRAWBERRY RED OVERDRIVE RC is a new modified version of the classic SROD overdrive, tweaked by Björn Juhl. It delivers classic sounds as well as new modern tones with heightened articulation and note definition. This overdrive is versatile and suitable for a wide range of musical situations, not specific to any genre or style.
The STRAWBERRY RED OVERDRIVE RC model is specially tuned for humbucker-equipped guitars and heavy tones, while retaining the characteristics of a great high-end tube amplifier. The original SROD4K was designed to offer the dynamics and feel of expensive tube audio circuits to guitarists, even when using small solid-state combos. The new SRODRC operates between 9V and 18V, providing higher headroom and a more focused tone with a wider dynamic range.
The 4-knob (four knob) arrangement includes:
- VOLUME: Adjusts the output volume.
- DRIVE: Adjusts the gain level of the overdrive.
- TREBLE: Adjusts the high-end contour of the tone.
- LOW: Adjusts the low-end boost/cut.
The "Japonism" edition of the STRAWBERRY RED OVERDRIVE RC is a new and limited edition of the SRODRC pedal. It features beautiful artwork inspired by Ukiyo-e, one of the greatest art movements in Japanese culture. This is a limited edition, available only in small quantities.
