Product Overview

This document provides instructions for setting up and using the Philips Hue Play light bar base unit.

The package includes:

• Hue Play light bar (a)
• Base stand (b)
• Mounting accessories (c, d, e)
• Power adapter with interchangeable plugs (f) for UK, AU/NZ, and EU regions.

The Hue Play light bar is a Zigbee certified product.

Important Symbols:

• A: Indicates contents included in the package.
• B: Indicates setup options.
• [Home icon]: For indoor use.
• [Distance measurement]: Minimum distance of 3 meters for the power cord.
• [Type Z plug icon]: Indicates the power adapter type.
• [Exclamation mark]: Important safety information.
• [Age restriction 0-14]: Not suitable for children under 14 years.
• [LED icon]: Indicates LED light source.
• G: Energy efficiency rating.
• [Zigbee logo]: Zigbee certified product.
• [Power adapter to square icon]: Power connection.
• [Light bar to triple roman numeral icon]: Class III protection.

Placement Options

The Hue Play light bar can be placed in several ways:

1. Option A: Place the light bar horizontally on a surface behind the TV.
2. Option B: Use the included base stand (b) to place the light bar vertically behind the TV.
3. Option C: Mount the light bar to the back of the TV using the included mounting accessories. Ensure a minimum distance of 6 cm from the TV screen.
4. Option D: Mount the light bar to the wall behind the TV, ensuring a minimum distance of 6 cm from the TV screen.

Installation Steps

For Base Stand Placement (Options A & B):

1. Attach the base stand (b) to the light bar (a).
2. Insert the connector (d) into the designated port on the base stand.
3. Secure the base stand by pressing the mounting disc (e) onto the base stand.
4. Ensure the light bar is stable.

For Mounting Accessories (Options C & D):

1. Clean the mounting surface with alcohol (not included) for optimal adhesion.
2. Peel the protective film from the adhesive disc (e).
3. Press the adhesive disc (e) firmly onto the mounting surface (e.g., back of TV or wall) for 10 seconds.
4. Attach the mounting bracket (c) to the light bar (a).
5. Insert the connector (d) into the designated port on the mounting bracket.
6. Align the light bar with the mounted disc and secure it.
7. Press firmly on the light bar for 10 seconds to ensure a secure attachment.

Power Connection

Connect the power adapter (f) to a power outlet. The adapter comes with interchangeable plugs for different regions (EU, UK, AU/NZ). Ensure the correct plug is attached before connecting to the power outlet.

The light bar connects to the power adapter via a cable.

Troubleshooting and Information

• If the light bar does not power on, check the power connections.
• The Hue Play light bar is compatible with the Philips Hue system.
• For detailed setup and advanced features, refer to the Philips Hue app.
• The serial number (S/N XXXXXX) can be found on the light bar or its packaging.
