Product Overview

The Philips Hue Play light bar extension is part of the Hue personal wireless lighting system. This manual provides instructions for its use.

Installation Instructions

General Safety and Usage:

• The light bar can be mounted in various ways, including on the back of a TV or on a flat surface.
• Ensure the TV screen is clean before applying any adhesive.
• Maximum power consumption is 20W.

Mounting Options:

Option A: Placing the light bar on a surface

1. Place the Hue Play light bar on a flat surface.

Option B: Mounting the light bar vertically using the bracket

1. Attach the bracket (b) to the light bar (a) using the screw (d).
2. Place the bracket on a flat surface.

Option C: Mounting the light bar on the back of a TV using the adhesive pad

1. Clean the back of the TV with alcohol and a cloth.
2. Peel the backing from the adhesive pad (e).
3. Press the adhesive pad onto the mounting bracket (c) and hold for 10 seconds.
4. Attach the mounting bracket (c) with the adhesive pad to the back of the TV. Ensure there is a minimum distance of 2.4 inches from the edge of the TV.
5. Attach the light bar (a) to the mounting bracket (c).

Option D: Mounting the light bar horizontally on the back of a TV using the adhesive pad

1. Clean the back of the TV with alcohol and a cloth.
2. Peel the backing from the adhesive pad (e).
3. Press the adhesive pad onto the mounting bracket (c) and hold for 10 seconds.
4. Attach the mounting bracket (c) with the adhesive pad to the back of the TV. Ensure there is a minimum distance of 2.4 inches from the edge of the TV.
5. Attach the light bar (a) to the mounting bracket (c).

Connecting the Power:

1. Connect the light bar cable to the power adapter.
2. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
3. The light bar will illuminate.

Connecting the Product:

Refer to www.philips-hue.com/connectproduct to connect your light bar to the Hue system.

Important Information:

• The serial number (S/N XXXXXX) is located on the cable.
